Just as I was about to go back to class from the rooftop, I heard a voice, was someone there with me? Anyway i shouldn't eavesdrop, but it looks like something serious, I'll just listen a little.
"Did you pay the hospital XW20?" A woman speaks, loud enough for me to hear.
"I obviously did" A man answers, he is talking more quietly than the woman but it's still loud enough for me to hear. "That girl cant wake up!" The woman raises her voice, "Shut- shut up, what if someone heard us. XW18 we can't mess up i know!" The man tries to calm her down, XW18, XW20? are these code names, a girl can't wake up? What is this about? "Look don't worry, we payed the hospital handsomely, and the doctor's son is in out hands, so she won't pull anything. The girl's family isn't suspicious at all." The man speaks, what the hell is going on? I step back slowly, fuck I need to go before they spot me, Riingg yo pick up Riing yo pick up Riing. FUCK! My phone rings, shit i need to run, i turn off my phone and run down the stairs, I don't have time for this! I jump down from the space in the middle of the stairs, i'm screwed, why didn't I change my ringtone, they'll recognize it if they hear it again, wait Ann has the same ringtone as me, shit! I run to my class, we still have two minutes till class starts. "Yo, Ann fuck, meet me after class near the gate! And change your ringtone!" I tell her, "Dude change my ringtone? As if, your arm is bleeding what the hell happened?" "I'll tell you later, just do as I say!" "Okay jeez fine!"
SOPHIE
On my way home i spot Ann, Aru and Lenna, they aren't faced towards me so I should just go without saying hi. "Yeah, I thought i got caught, but they were calling each other XW18 and XW20" I hear Aru saying. My mind goes blank and i freeze on the spot, 'XW' as in 'XWolf'? My legs go weak and I can barely stand, why are they talking about XWolfs, no, no this isn't happening, fuck! No i can't let them go through what i went through, they don't deserve that, no one does! I need to warn them.
"Aru!" I yell, "What- wait are you okay? You look extremely pale, and you're sweating like crazy, Sophie what's up?" Aru stands up and helps me stand, "All of you, come with me!" I drag them with me, they can't talk about this in the open! "Where are we going" Ann asks, "Just follow me!" I try my hardest to get words out of my mouth, "This is my secret hideout, no one should be able to hear us from here, give me your phones and watches, any devices you have!" I demand, "What- you brought us in a place that is covered in tin foil, and now our phones?" Lenna questions me, "Look i will explain everything, just trust me! If what i heard is true, then- just listen to me i'll explain everything. "Let's hear her out" Ann hands me her phone and watch, and the others follow. I turn off their devices and wrap them in tin foil. It isn't necessary, but after the trauma i went through I'm scared of making the smallest mistake and ending up going through the same thing again, or anyone close to me goes through something like that. I can't let that happen, ever!
"Okay now tell us, what is it?" Aru places her hand on my shoulders, she looks at me with understanding eyes, I feel her warmth through the air. Her just being here makes everything so much more easy, "It's okay take your time, we will listen to you!" Ann smiles. "Tell me, is it true that you heard people calling each other by code names starting with XW?" I ask Aru, "Ah, yeah! They were talking about paying some hospital and some doctor, and also that they have the doctors' son's life in their hands. Oh and they were also talking about making sure that some girl doesn't wake up. Why, do you know something?" She tells me. "Look listen carefully, all of you!" I get closer to them, "Did they see you by any chance?" "Uhm, i don't think they saw me. But they did hear my phone ring, i ran from there as fast as i could and changed my ringtone." Aru tells me, "So that' why you told Ann to change her ringtone, okay now listen. XW is short for XWolfs, It's a organized group of criminals, a gang! But it's not only that, it's also a cult. It's a bit confusing, the criminal organization is called X, they used a cult to make money and the cult worships wolfs, that's why it's called XWolfs. They brainwash weak or people going through hard times, the people donate to them huge amount of money, to make sure the victims of their cult don't realize that somethings wrong, they mix drugs with their food, so that they go crazy. We need to stop them, i don't wanna go crazy, i don't wanna go crazy, please don't let me go crazy, no, no, no, no, no i can't go crazy! Just help me please I do't wanna!" I lose control of myself, my chest gets heavy, tears are running down my eyes, am I going to die? Am i going crazy, I'm scared, I'm so scared! "Guy give her a little space, she's having a panic attack!" I hear Aru speaking.
ARU
I give Sophie a little space so that she can breathe, "Hey, Sophie breath in through your nose and count to five okay?" I say calmly, "O-okay" She whispers, "Okay now breathe out through your mouth and count to five alright?"
"Okay" She breathes. "Hold my hand if you need to alright?" I tell her, " She uses both her hands to squeeze my hands, "Please save me" She cries, "You're alright, nothing's gonna happen to you, understand?" I brush through her hair. "What- what was that?" She asks, "You were having a panic attack, you're alright now." I tell her, "How do you know to do that?" She asks, "I used to get them a lot when i was younger." I squeeze her hand, "You don't have to continue more today, alright? I tell her, "We will be careful, and you be careful to, alright? It's Saturday tomorrow so let's meet up and talk!" Lenna places her hand on Sophie's shoulder, "We should tell the other's too, we need more people if we're gonna do something bout this!" Ann states, "Then let's do that" I say.
I wish i knew that this was, only one step closer to my end
