Chase picked up his rule card, examining it with wonder, like a mysterious puzzle waiting to be deciphered, trying to comprehend its functionality. The card seemed to hold secrets and guidelines that intrigued him, much like an enigmatic puzzle challenging him to unravel its hidden meanings.
"Press the corner of it," Ema suddenly said, observing Chase's scrutiny of the card.
When Chase pressed the corner of the rules card, it emitted a radiant shine, and blue words appeared, resembling the system interface and task plank.

"Yes, it's crucial to abide by them. All guilds must maintain the highest order," Ema emphasized, her words as sharp as the keenest sword.
Chase carefully stored away his rule card, as if preserving a precious artifact, and then picked up his adventure card. Pressing the corner of it, the transparent card illuminated in red, and a tiny clock started rotating on its surface, like the heartbeat of an ancient timepiece.

"Well, I guess that's it," Chase remarked, putting away his adventure card. "Let's go check on Ava."
Chase and Ema exited the trade booth and returned to the room where they found Ava sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Ava, are you okay?" Chase rushed up to her, his voice filled with worry.
"Yeah, I'm fine. What happened?" Ava asked, looking at Chase and Ema.
"I healed you after you passed out from exhaustion," Ema explained abruptly, not giving Chase a chance to speak.
Chase glanced at Ema and then turned to Ava with a worried expression, remembering Ema's instruction to not reveal the true cause yet.
"Sorry about worrying you, Chase," Ava said.
"It's fine. Ema healed you, so let's quickly leave. It's getting late," Chase said, assisting Ava in getting up and supporting her weight on his body.
Ava looked at her shoulder and saw that the claw scratch was gone, leaving her shoulder clean and smooth.
"Okay, thank you, Ema," Ava expressed her gratitude, realizing that if it hadn't been for Ema's healing, the scratch would have left a scar.
Ema nodded to Ava and Chase, and they left together, heading back to the dorms.
The next day, Chase went to the female dorms in search of Ava but couldn't find her. He asked one of her roommates who informed him that Ava had gone to the library.
"The library? Why is she there?" Chase wondered, unsure why she would be there instead of resting.
Chase made his way to the library, where he spotted Ava engrossed in a book, reading with great intensity.
"Hey, Ava," Chase called out to her.
But she didn't respond, either not hearing him or too absorbed in her reading.
"Hey, Ava," Chase repeated her name a little louder this time, causing all the other students in the library to glance at him and shush him.
"Sorry," Chase apologized, seeking refuge in the background and grabbing a book to sit the opposite of Ava.
She still didn't notice him.
So he gently pulled her book down to get her attention.
"Who dare..." Ava was about to shout angrily until she realized it was Chase
"Chase, what's wrong?" she asked, her expression puzzled.
"What's wrong? I've been trying to get your attention, but you were completely focused on this book," Chase said, looking at the book Titled 'Mystery About the Mind.'
"Sorry," Ava apologized, sounding apologetic. "I like to read when I'm bored and I was trying to find out why I passed out."
"But Ema already told you why," Chase said.
"Not that I don't believe Ema, but I know my own body better than anyone," Ava said, emphasizing her trust in her own instincts and judgment.
"Chase, are you sure that I passed out from exhaustion when you found me?" Ava asked, locking eyes with him.
"Yes, that's what happened," Chase said, avoiding Ava's eye contact.
Ava sensed Chase was lying.
"Chase, I know you're lying," she said firmly. "Why can't you tell me the truth? I have deep trust in my own instincts and judgment."
Chase took a deep breath, exhaling a cold breath.
"Fine, I can't lie to you anymore," Chase admitted. "After Ema healed you, she mentioned that you had a 'broken mind' and that If I tell you soon it causes further damage."
As Ava heard Chase's revelation, she searched through her book until she found a section about a broken mind.
"There are multiple meanings behind it, but the one that stood out to me is," Ava began, reading aloud from the book.
"Unleashed Power with Unstable Consequences: The transformation could have unlocked immense power within the person, but their inability to control it results in unintended chaos. Their mind struggles to handle the surge of energy, causing mental instability and unpredictable outbursts of magic or destructive abilities. This could pose a danger to both the person themselves and those around them," Ava read, like a seer revealing a prophecy.
As Ava finished reading, her heart pounded in her chest, feeling similar to when she was a forest as powerful energy filled her body, like a tempest stirring within her soul.
"Thump, thump."
But then, her heart quickly returned to its normal rhythm, like a storm calming into a gentle rain.
"Ava, Ava," Chase called out, startling Ava out of her shock, like a caring friend reaching out to console her.
"What's wrong?" Chase asked, his voice filled with worry, like a protective guardian sensing a disturbance.
"Nothing. Thanks for telling me, Chase," Ava said, a big smile forming on her face, masking any concern. "Don't worry about the broken mind. I won't let it happen to me again."
"Oh, okay. I was worried something had happened," Chase said, letting out a sigh of relief.
"Oh, I just remembered," Chase said, taking out Ava's adventure card and storage ring.
"Here's your adventure card and ring," Chase said, handing them to her.
Chase and Ava spent the rest of the day talking about adventure cards and reading books about storage rings, delving into the details of their functionalities.
