Chapter 13 - Trial of the Labyrinth Part-4

Chase and Ava cautiously step into the Mirror Chamber, their eyes immediately drawn to the grandeur of the large, ornate mirrors adorning the walls, like portals to a realm of distorted reflections. The room is filled with an eerie atmosphere, as distorted reflections dance across the mirrors' surfaces, like ethereal ghosts playing a haunting symphony.

"These mirrors... There's something unsettling about them, Ava," Chase said, gazing at the mirrors, like a detective sensing danger lurking in the shadows.

"Indeed, Chase. Let's be cautious," Ava nodded, on high alert, like a vigilant guardian protecting their charge.

"This chamber seems to be all about mirrors and light. We must use them strategically to progress further," Ava said, like strategists preparing for a battle of wits.

"Agreed, Ava Let's observe the reflections and see if we can find any patterns or clues."

As they cautiously approach one of the mirrors, their reflections flicker and twist, distorting their appearances.

"Chase, look at your reflection, something weird is happening," Ava said with fright, looking at Chase's reflection, like a concerned friend witnessing a disturbing transformation.

Chase looked at his reflection and saw his body become similar to that of a demon, like a glimpse into a nightmarish alter ego.

"What happening?"Chase said insure when he moved the mirror reflection also moved.

"I've heard tales of enchanted mirrors that can reveal one's inner demons," Ava said remembering another book she read in the academy about some of the trials.

Suddenly, Ava's reflection also flickered and twisted, like an unsettling metamorphosis.

"Ava, look, it's also happening to your mirror," Chase warned Ava, like a protector raising an alarm.

Ava looked at her mirror and saw that she became a demon beast, like a terrifying vision of her deepest fears.

The reflection reveals a dark, twisted version of themselves, their inner demons personified, like a mirror reflecting the unseen shadows of their souls.

"No, Chase, we must hurry," Ava said with urgency, like a voice of reason amidst the chaos.

"Why? What's happening?" Chase asked Ava in a panic, unsure when she became so hurried, like a bewildered soul lost in a maze of emotions.

"I remembered when our inner demons are reflected in these mirrors, they will try to consume us!" Ava said, starting to sweat on her forehead, like a bearer of foreboding warnings.

Chase realized what Ava said if they are consumed by their inner demon they become their inner demons.

Chase looked around surrounded by his inner demons his body became sluggish.

"Chase. Remember, they are not real but illusions" Ava said, remembering another piece of info in the trial books.

"Ok," Chase and Ava started to breathe heavily their bodies and minds slowly became weak.

To proceed, they must focus on the task at hand. They observe the room, Chase noticing a beam of light entering through a small opening in the ceiling, casting a faint glow across the room.

"Look, Ava! That mirror is reflecting the sunlight. We need to redirect the beam of light redirect it strategically to activate something, We must redirect it strategically."Chase points to the beam of light

"Agreed, Chase. We mustn't let our inner demons distract us from the task," Ava said, trying to focus on getting consumed, like a warrior fighting off the relentless onslaught of doubts.

Chase and Ava started experimenting with adjusting the mirrors, carefully manipulating their angles to redirect the beam of light. With each adjustment, the reflections shift, casting the light in different directions, like artists painting strokes of light on a canvas.

"Stay focused, Chase. We cannot let our fears and doubts control us," Ava fought against her inner demon, like a valiant warrior resisting a malevolent force.

"We are stronger than these illusions, Ava. Keep pushing forward." Chase said

With each mirror adjustment, the beam of light bounces off the mirrors, illuminating specific areas of the chamber. Mechanisms hidden within the room start to activate, like gears turning in an ancient clock.

"The mirrors are revealing the way forward. We're making progress, Ava"Chase noticed the mirror and light mechanisms.

As they successfully redirect the beam of light onto a specific area, a hidden passage opens before them, beckoning them deeper into the labyrinth.

"We're overcoming these illusions, Chase. Let's continue onward."Ava said feeling full of energy again.

They both move forward, their reflections shifting as they navigate the chamber. They notice another set of mirrors reflecting light onto a door, but this time, the distorted reflections show their strengths and virtues.

"Ahh!" Chase and Ava both felt weak as they entered the new room, and both of them fell to their knees, like weary travelers seeking respite.

"Ahh, I'm too weak," Ava said, sounding extremely tired, like a battle-worn soldier seeking a moment of rest.

"They have gotten stronger," Chase said, breathing heavily. "But we mustn't give up; we can do this," Chase said, trying to help Ava, like a loyal friend offering a helping hand.

"Alright, I will try," Ava said, without confidence, her body starting to become lower to the ground, like a struggling warrior summoning the last of her strength.

"Good, Ava, you did it. Now let's finish this," Chase cheered on Ava, like a cheerleader motivating their teammate.

Ava turned and nodded to Chase, like a warrior acknowledging the support of their comrade.

Chase took his spear off his back and used it like a cane walking over to Ava.

"Hold me," Chase said both breathing heavily.

Ava held onto Chase's stomach and they both started slowly walking forward, trying to remember that their inner demon are only illusions.

"Look, Ava! These mirrors reflect seem We must use them to unlock the door." Chase said.

"Chase, Let's embrace our virtues and redirect the light towards the door," Ava said.

With renewed resolve, they slowly adjust the mirrors once again, aligning them to reflect their true selves. The beams of light converge onto the lock mechanism, and the door opens, revealing a path to the next challenge.

"Our virtues have unlocked the way, Ava Let's face the trials ahead with our true selves."

"Absolutely, Chase. We shall not let the illusions deter us. Our strengths will guide us through."Ava nodded with newfound spirit and mentality

With their inner demons left behind in the mirror chamber, Chase and Ava stride through the opened door, ready to conquer the trials that lie ahead.
