Chapter 16 - Chapter 14: Confrontation

"Sooo… can we live together with Hiroki in another world?", asked all of them together as they put their hands together in a praying manner and put on a puppy expression.

"Please!"

Their parents looked at each other with a questioning look as they frowned. It took them no longer than 10 seconds to make their decision as they answered.

"NO."

…they were dumbfounded as they looked each other into the eyes, not knowing what to do next.

But to understand how this happened, we need to go back in time.

10 a.m.

"DING DONG"

As Hiroki rang the bell, he gave a last serious look towards his friends to remind them to not screw things up. They understood his intentions and their faces turned serious.

Just a few seconds later, they could hear steps coming towards the direction of the door. As the door was opened slightly, a gentle female voice asked: "Hello, what do you want?"

Hiroki answered: "Yes, hello, may we enter?"

After that there was silence.

'Why won't she open the door? Did she not hear me or maybe was my voice too quiet?', asked Hiroki himself as there was no reaction coming from the other side of the door.

"Go away, I have no time to talk about Jesus Christ! My sons are about to come home.", answered the voice in an angrily tone.

Hiroki had to hold back his laughter.

'No way. Does she not recognize my voice?'

He turned over to Aiko and Eichi as he wanted to see their expressions. Eichi was rather calm, not showing and change of emotions, though he was a bit disappointed, that his mother couldn't recognize Hiroki's voice. Aiko on the other hand got embarrassed and his head turned light red. Thus, he screamed towards the door: "Mom, how could you not recognize Hiroki's voice, do you know how embarrassing that is for me."

"Ohh", a loud cream was audible, and the door opened just moments later.

Behind the door stood a rather young-looking woman. She had to be in her forties and was wearing casual clothes, black t-shirt and grey sweatpants. As she placed her hands on her cheeks, she said:

"Omg, I am so sorry Hiroki, I don't know why I couldn't recognize your voice just now. I thought you were some stranger. Anyways, please come inside." She completely opened the door and with a hand-gesture, she showed them the way inside.

After taking their shoes off, they followed her into the living room. The living room was really spacious, and it looked luxurious. There was a large leather sofa and two leather armchairs. They had a large QLED tv and a big sound system. The floor was made of some sort of dark wood that looked really expensive. On the sofa were the other parents seated and some of them were drinking a cup of tea. There were Aiko and Eichi's father, Yasuo's mother and Hiroki's parents.

They sat down next to them and at first there was some silence, as they didn't know how to start.

You may wonder why they aren't curious about where they have been for the past day, that is, because Hiroki told his parents beforehand to contact their parents and tell them, that Hiroki's friends are having a sleepover at his house, as to not risk having them call the police because their sons are missing.

Aiko's dad opened the floor saying: "Well, what did you guys want to talk about with us today?"

Hiroki turned his head towards Eichi and both of them stood up and positioned themselves behind the sofa. Their parents watched them with big question marks around their heads. Just a moment later Aiko started to tell them about the events that took place the other day, how they got transported to the other world and their plans for the future. While Aiko told all this, Hiroki and Eichi acted out the story theatrically in the background, making sound effects like: "Pow", "Woosh", "Woaah".

Yasuo just sat besides Aiko, not knowing what to do. The only thing that he did was randomly throw in the sentence: "Yeah, yeah, exactly." Or "Mmm, yeah".

But even despite their Oscar-worthy performance, they couldn't convince their parents, as they thought, that this was just some sort of prank.

"Sooo… can we live together with Hiroki in another world?", asked all of them as they put their hands together in a praying manner and put on a puppy expression.

"Please!"

Their parents looked at each other with a questioning look as they frowned. It took them no longer than 5 seconds to make their decision as they answered.

"NO."

Even Hiroki's parents couldn't convince them, as they thought they were just involved in this grand scheme.

'It was obvious that that would be the answer, I mean even I had to resort to magic, because my parents wouldn't believe me. They also must think that this is just some complete bullshit that we came up with out of pure boredom. Well, I guess there's no use in trying further. I'll have to use these practical powers of mine.'

He approached Eichi, shook his hand and with the other one he patted his right shoulder.

"You were a good actor and comrade, but even the best acting can't be understood by an ignorant audience. I'll have to use plan b."

He looked over to Aiko, still sitting on the couch, as he gave him an approving nod.

Hiroki pointed with his finger towards their parents and said: "You will let your sons live in another world together with me. Be happy if they visit you once in a while. And if somebody asks, where they are, just tell them they are going to school overseas."

After that he snapped his fingers and the expressions of their parents changed. They suddenly put on a smile and said: "Understood, have a great time."

Though they were still themselves, Hiroki had completely overwritten their will and now, they had to follow this one command. He didn't forcefully change their mind or made them into slaves that only follow his commands, but instead he bend their will in a way, that they just agreed to their sons living in another world, as if it was the most common thing.

"Woah that's kinda scary", realized Yasuo. Of course, Hiroki had already talked about what would happen to their parents if they disagreed but seeing it in person really had a much more dramatic effect.

Hiroki's parents, who watched the whole spectacle, got nervous. His father asked him: "Son, don't tell me you did the same thing to us back then?".

Hiroki jokingly answered with a "Who knows...", but he regretted it soon, as his mother promptly stood up and screamed: "You better did not you brat!".

Hiroki jumped backwards, as he got scared and apologized.

"No-no, it was a joke, a joke. I would never do such thing."

His mother let out a sight, as she was happy to hear that it was just a joke.

Afterwards they drank a cup of tee and had a chat with their parents and around one hour later, they left the house.
