A black motorcycle halted right before a three-story villa. The person who rode the motorcycle immediately hopped down. Her black and lush hair casually cascaded down her back like inky waterfalls as she took off her helmet.
Underneath her well-carved eyebrows lay a pair of beautiful siren eyes that were capable of trapping someone senseless. She possessed an aquiline nose and plump red lips which were curved downwards indicating a frown.
"Are you having second thoughts? You could live with me, you known." Kelly said to the person who was sitting motionlessly on the motorcycle.
"Thanks for all your help kelly, you really have done a lot for me." Heaven said while hopping down from the motorcycle.
Kelly, during college, was envied by all. She was pretty, insanely rich, and had numerous suitors.
However, she was always alone during high school.
Only boys who had the intention of hitting on her because of her wealth approached her and the ladies avoided her like a plague.
When Heaven began talking to her, and they eventually became close, the students started calling her Kelly's maid.
Heaven could not actually blame them because, she did seem more like a maid compared to the fashionable Kelly.
"Oh, please don't thank me. After all, I know that you would have done the same for me. Are you certain that you can go in by yourself?"
"Yeah, I can manage."
They momentarily exchanged hugs before Kelly casually hopped unto her motorcycle and then zoomed off.
Now she was left alone, standing right before the place which she despised the most.
The Moore's residence was a three-story villa which had been passed from generation to generation.
Exempting from the Colossal swimming pool and the baroque styled Garden, the villa exceeded over 800 square meters in size.
When she knocked, the black mahogany double door was pulled open, revealing a middle-aged woman whose face held a polite smile.
"Second Miss, you are back!"
When Heaven stepped into the house, the woman's smile widened, she seemed to be exceptionally fond of the Second miss.
Decked in a simple dress with an apron tied around her waist, she emitted a refreshingly clean-cut aura. Her name was Auntie Helen.
"Hmm, I should get to my room now."
Heaven felt exceptionally exhausted as a result of the recent happenings, so her reply was brief.
Auntie Helen smiled in an understanding manner as she watched the retreating view of the second miss.
Heaven immediately got down as soon as the elevator halted at the second floor. Fortunately, the other members of the family were still asleep.
She headed straight to her room, which was positioned at the apex of the second floor.
When the door was pushed open, it revealed a plain yet neat room.
Compared to the other rooms in the mansion, this room seemed rather ordinary.
Exempting from the average size bed, the dressing table, the closet and other essential furniture, the room seemed empty; nothing appeared special.
Heaven felt exhausted, she could only resist the urge to jump right on the bed as she made her way into the bathroom.
Same as the room, the bathroom did not appear special; it was simple yet neat.
A small white bathtub, matching sink, and other female necessities.
Donned in a white bathrobe, Heaven stepped out of the bathroom; her wet hair clinging to her body.
She headed towards the wardrobe and pulled it open, revealing a range of ridiculously shabby and tacky clothes.
All her clothes were worn out, it had been washed so many times and it were obviously old.
The Moore family were not that poor. But for some unknown reason, her parents had never treated her as part of the family.
As a child, she had lived in the servant quarters with Aunty Helen. It was only when her father had observed that she had grown up and had some use, that he gave her a room.
While she was growing up, her clothes were always hand-me-downs from Mielle, her sister.
Even if the clothes had been washed continuously or were even torn, to her, they were still nice clothes, she would always plead with Auntie Helen and Auntie Lin to mend them for her to wear.
Heaven took out a white, worn out T-shirt and a faded blue jean.
Tucking her hair into a loose bun, she unplugged her mobile phone, which she had half charged and placed it inside her purse. Her lingering gaze fell on the neatly spread bed, and she could only think of how she badly wished to roll on that bed.
Inasmuch as her muscles were all sore, Heaven did not have the heart to leave those children waiting, so she had to head to the orphanage.
She could already hear the loud and harmonious chatter of her family as she descended the stairs; they were happily having breakfast
"Second miss, breakfast is ready. Please do have your breakfast, it's not healthy to skip your morning meal." Auntie Lin, who had sighted Heaven descending from the staircase, said with a slight frown.
"Thanks Aunty Lin, but I would have to skip breakfast today." Heaven replied with a warm smile.
Mr. Moore, who saw her, immediately stopped her. The first thing that came to sight was Heaven's face. She was wearing a plain white T-shirt, the hem was casually tucked into her faded jeans. Everyone in the family possessed a fair complexion, but compared to them, she was even paler.
Due to how fair she was, Heaven's eyes always seemed as though they were glowing.
"And where are you heading to, young lady?" Mr. Moore asked her sternly.
Currently, the whole family had already halted their breakfast; their attention was now keenly on her.
Eduard Moore was calculative a man who was in his early forties. Dressed in an expensive tuxedo, he emitted the aura of a cunning businessman.
"Good morning father, mother, grandmother, and sister. I would be heading to the orphanage" Heaven said with a polite smile.
"Orphanage! Instead of working in that godforsaken orphanage, why don't you get a good job like your sister to support the family?" Grandma Moore snorted coldly. "In less than two years, your sister had moved from a D-list celebrity to an A-list actress. Take a good look at yourself; you are Jobless. You better listen properly to your mother, I'd find you a good family to marry into." Grandma Moore scolded, her hold on her walking stick grew tighter.
A blonde-haired girl beside grandma Moore immediately shook her head and tried to put in good words for Heaven.
"Grandma, you are hurting sister's feelings. Do not make her feel bad. I'm sure she loves working in that orphanage. After all, everyone has what they are passionate about."
Hearing what she said, Grandma Moore's impression of heaven became even worst.
