Alessio
I'm honestly suprised she let me drive for this long. It's been almost four hours since lunch and our kiss and she's been very quiet the entire time. Her hellhound is resting it's head in her lap and she's stroking it absentmindenly. I can see the outline of New York City in the distance. I've been here before but it was a long while ago.
"So where are we going?" I say, probing. For my plan to work I needed to atleast go to dinner with her. Maybe a five star resturant where I could take her into the bathroom and-- take her. I can see her looking at me from my peripheral vision.
"I was thinking dinner, then I'll have to get a hotel room. My job will have closed by the time we get in" Closed? As if the FBI ever were closed.
"That sounds great, I'm in the same boat actually. Wanna' share a room again?" I wink at her and she groans.
"I'm sorry Luce but I think that after dinner it's best id we part ways." I slap a hand over my heart and gasp.
"Oh, you wound me Caramella." She scoffs and scrunches up her nose.
"You just want to sleep with me." Exactly I think but I say, "No Caramella. What if I say you're the one. For me, I mean." She purses her lips before she answers.
"I'd just shoot you right then and there." I laugh and somewhere in the back of my mind I realise she could be telling the truth.
"Such a violent woman, I could help you with some of that frustration." She laughs and for some reason it warms the blood in me that's been cold for too long.
"If, and only if I had any frustations. I could deal with them myself." Something stirrs in my stomach at her words.
"Now you're just trying to make me hard." She laughs again although this one is muted as I pull off the highway taking the curve down towards Manhattan.
"Yeah... something like that." Suddenly she's a thousand miles away again. That's fine though because tonight I'll finally get to break her.
It takes me a while to find a good parking spot with all the taxis, cars and people but after a while I find one and stirr the car in.
"What do you want to do about the hellhound?" Naitee looks down as if she's forgotten that her dog probably won't be allowed into the restaurant. "Just pull down the windows halfway and I'll pour some water. I'll come and get her later." I press the button for the automatic windows before I turn the engine oft. It feels quiet for a second before the sounds of the city crowd in on us.
Naitee is leaning into the back seat and I watch her ass in her jeans. Clearing my throat I ask, "Do you have any good restaurants to go to?"
"Ehhh-- No, not really. But I'm kind of craving a sports bar burger." She looks up at my confused face.
"You've never had sportsbar food? Omg you have really missed something." Here I was thinking about michelin grade steaks and fucking her in the pristine bathroom and she wants to go to some dirty sportsbar. I think about protesting but making her happy and seeming as nice as possible will only make it sweeter when she realises just how bad I am.
"Come on, you'll love it. I've never been dissapointed by a sportsbar." I smile a smile that's so fake I feel like someone is pulling on my face.
"Okay then Caramella." I pull out my suit jacket but leave my dressshirt and jeans. I'll never wear them again anyway. I close the door and it clicks close with an oiled ease. Maybe I'll steal it after tonight, it's just such a perfect car. I hand her the keys after she gives me a meaning look and she locks the car.
I throw an arm around her shoulders and she leans into me. We walk for a while and I admire the organised chaos that is New York City. Screaming, loud music, cars honking and helicopters fill the city with so much sound that it's like one living organism.
"Isn't it weird that you can't see the stars here, even at night?" Her voice is low as if she's really talking to herself.
"Yes, where I'm from you can count every single one." She sighs and the sound is so sweet.
"I would like to see that, I've never had an totally clean night sky in my life. The light pollution is always to strong." Her voice sounds so sad for only talking about stars.
"You should come visit me Caramella." As if she'd ever want see me again after this night. She smiles up at me and her eyes shine with the lights from the city.
"Yeah sometime..." She trails of and her hand flies up to point at something. "Look a bar, let's try that one!" She starts walking with purpose and I'm left behind for only a second before I rush after her.
We cross the busy street at a redlight and I accidentally make eyecontact with a man across from me. He looks right back at me and for a moment I could swear that he recognises me. But then were walking and he's gone in the mass of people.
As soon as we step in the sports bar warm air and the smell of fried food envelops us. It's loud and somehow it fits the city it's in perfectly. Naitee takes two seats at the bar and even though I would've preferred to not have my back against the door I sit down next too her. We make small talk and she laughs a few times but it all feels tense for some reason. It's like something is going to happen and she's scared of the outcome. I watch the room but there's no indication that anything is wrong. I stare at her until she turns her head and actually looks at me for the first time since we walked in here.
"Hi Caramella, where have you been?" She gazes at me for a second before saying, "I've been in Canada actually." I raise my eyebrows. "Really? How was it?" She looks down, sighs and says,
"Luce I have to tell you, I wasn't actually in Canada." Her face is completly blank but I know she's just waiting to crack up. "No really?" The R's roll of my tungue and I lean in closer. Her plate isn't totally finished but considering the way she's been picking at it the entire night I already know that she's done.
"Want to get out of here?" Her pupils widen, almost erasing the brown color of her irises.
"I--" She stammers and I know I've got her on my hook.
"I just have to use the toilet, then we can leave and find a hotel." I say, I need to talk too Ice so he can get me out of here after I'm done with Naitee. She smiles up at me and says, "I'll be waiting for you." Her voice is breathy and I consider just fucking taking her right here, right now. But that would be stupid, more stupid than sleeping with a fed just for fun and games.
"I will be right back Caramella." I hurry to the bathroom thankful that's it's actual bathrooms and not stalls.
"Boss?" Ice says, picking up after only one ring.
"I will need pick up from NY in two maybe three hours. Just make sure someones waiting for me." I say in Italian, my voice is colder than it was before. That's the way that he and everyone else except for Naitee knows me.
"You've got it, Boss." Ice answers in his gruff, british accent and I end the call. I look in the mirror once and since I always look good I don't have to fix anything.
When I come out to the bar again Naitee is sitting there, sipping a new drink with her head bent.
"Why did you get a new drink Caramella, we just about too leave?" She doesn't meet my eyes as I sit down next to her again. "Liquid courage." She says holding her glass up and I smile.
"Relax, Caramella you're in safe hands." She looks up at me her eyes dark with something. Something that is not lust. She downs her drink and slams her glass on the counter. Her wide eyes swing to me.
Someone taps my shoulder at the same time she says, "I'm sorry."
I spin around ready to pull my gun. I know something is wrong before I see an entire bar of FBI agents, every single one holding a gun. There's a man standing before me. His black hair has white streaks and his face is carved in stone. He's holding a gun that's pointed right at my heart. One wrong move and I'm dead. Usually I would fight and take my chances but behind me there's one very intelligent FBI agent. The man waves with his gun and I turn back around, hands in the air. He grabs my gun first and then he starts speaking.
"Alessio Spaglia. You're under arrest for the illegal transport of weapons. Anything you say can and will be held against you. You have the right to a attorney, if you can't afford one one will be provided to you..."
He drones on and on but I just stare at Naitee and she stares right back at me.
"Do not worry Agent Joshi, I will find you again. Lets call it fate." I smile, wide enought to make sure that she sees the sharp edges of my teeth. She looks chocked for a second before a cold mask decends on her face.
"You try that Spaglia, you can tell me all about it in 50 years when you get out of Federal Prison." She smiles and I am just now realising how grossly I underestimated her. I just laugh.
"We will see about that Kate, I will get out and when I do. I will find you wherever your hiding. You owe me a debt now." I keep my voice deadly calm as they wrench my arms behind me. They will get me for a few months top, then I will be out and Iwill be going after her and everything she loves.
I can see that she understands just how serious I am and the glimt of fear in her eyes gives me e what I will need to stay on course in the coming months. I've already started to plan exactly what I'm going to do to her.
"Goodbye Cara." I say as they lead me out of the bar and into a SUV that's parked right outside.
I don't hear the whispered, "Goodbye Rich boy." That she utteres before greeting the old man with a slap on the back and a weak smile.
