Taking the piece of paper out of my pocket, I read once more the name and address on it.
And then, skimming ahead, I start walking again, thinking about how it was incredibly easy for me to exit the estate without anyone noticing,
But it wasn't because I have particularly exceptional assassin skills or anything; rather, it was just because no one at this mansion intended to engage with me in any way if possible.
For them, I am like the same group in the political field that is not liked by both the left wing and the right wing. Any sort of unnecessary interaction with me will attract the wrath of both my mother and my sister. And so no one even asks me where I am going. Well, it is good for me, so I have no problem with this.
Even after arriving in the town, I'm still not able to figure out why the residence of the lord of this territory was constructed outside the town itself. Because of this, it took me an hour to travel from the mansion to the inside of this town.
This town is referred to as Mellark Town, which belongs to my family.
My coming into the city has made it abundantly clear that I am not in my home world; rather, this world, or at least this continent, is more akin to middle-aged Europe.
This world does have a peculiar quality all its own, and I soon realized what it was: magic.
It's the magical powers that completely distinguish this planet from my own.
The path I'm walking on is completely flat; there is no dust rising from it, and it is also clear that neither concrete nor asphalt was used to build the streets.
The same is true of the structures in my nearby surroundings. When I see them, these structures give me the impression that they have been lifted straight off the ground rather than built.
Most people are wandering around with weapons like swords, spears, or shields in their hands, and the entire city is bustling with activity. I am also discovering a lot of new things in the shop stalls that are spread out widely on both sides of the street, the majority of which I had never seen or imagined in my previous life.
The Baron's family and this city's single most important source of earnings is the Cold Forest, which is overflowing with environmental assets, medicinal herbs of the finest quality, and also dangerous beasts.
Most people's work involves going into Cold Forest and retrieving valuable resources from there, or they assist those who are already involved in this activity. The main reason why Aron has significantly more influence than any regular baron is thanks to the town's trading system. Even though he is also at the bottom of the aristocracy, with the wealth he possesses, he can be considered to be in the ranks of a viscount.
Pulling myself out of my dazed state and all these meaningless thoughts, I push myself to get focused on the things I came here to get.
After roaming around the town for some time with the assistance of Gnosis and asking some passersby, I finally found the location Array had given me. This place is located somewhat in a quiet area away from the chaotic downtown region.
Looking at the shop, I found the word "best blacksmith" printed on a board that hangs above the iron door in front of me.
Seriously, these people have named their shop the "best."
I took a sigh and ignored this bullshit. I put my hand on the door and pushed it open. Inside the blacksmith shop, a distinct smell of burning metal filled my nose.
To get my focus off of this smell, I turned my head around and also properly viewed the blacksmith's shop as a whole.
The shop is in the form of a big room with different weapons hanging on its two walls. These weapons are seen only in the museum in my world, but in this world, where people can cut mountains only with the help of a stick, all this weaponry is no less than guns and gunpowder for people in this world.
There is a door on the wall in front of me, and I can assume that the main work of this store happens behind that door.
But the place where I can do my work is at the long desk placed in front of me, where I can see two individuals talking, or rather bickering, with each other.
One of them is about a twenty-five-year-old boy, and the other is about a probably sixteen-year-old... girl.
I proceeded slowly toward the desk while keeping my eyes on the girl. I'm not sure why I feel odd seeing her, but there's something off about her. And yeah, it's not love.
She is entirely covered by a blue robe, yet despite this, I can tell by her body frame that she has a good figure.
Reaching the desk, I looked right at her face; she has chocolate-colored eyes, and her hair is dark brown.
She turned to look at me as well, but unlike my face, which most likely would have been showing confusion, hers was showing irritation.
realizing that I had been staring at her for too long, I quickly moved my head to the man who was standing on the other side of the dashboard. He is also staring at me with the eyes of someone who has just discovered a strange creature.
"Sir, can I be of any assistance to you?"
he asked, but I could read on his face that "if you are not here to buy something, then don't waste my time and get out of here."
before I was able to give an account of why I came here.
"What's your name?"
That chocolate-eyed girl asked me with a high tone and a surprised look.
Unfortunately, she stopped me before I could inform her of my name, adding that.
"Let's leave it that I am sorry about this."
she said.
Didn't I say before that I was feeling something off seeing this girl? She is weird.
