Synopsis
Just a small heads up, I procrastinate and occasionally have the will to update any of the stories I write, so if there isn't an update in a while, don't worry. This is a hobby for me, and I will not make this a chore/job. I hope you understand well, and have a good day.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

This sad dark world, that's simply held together by shining lights. The lights from cities that are filled with crime and the ignorance of those who run them. Thing is, when everything is said and done, the same people that run the cities, care nothing for them. The cities can simply dissappear and as long as the pockets of the rich are lined, they couldn't have a care in the world.

The rich always turn a blind eye to the poor, they never wish to see what they supposedly are stopping. Many of them say that they are trying to "clean up the streets," but who truly is? It's not them and that much is obvious.next. They wouldn't want to spend one cent to clean the streets of the filth they call "Commoners." I just so happen to be one of those people. The ones that live from one moment to the next.

See the big shot, those on their high horses, the ones filled with thoughts of "dignity" and "perseverance" don't care about what happens to the people of the city. They always make a promise before they high the high and mighty position, and frankly this is a promise that is never kept. There used to be a time where I didn't have to look behind my back every 5 minutes to make sure I wasn't going to be mugged. But that now is just a dream, one that will never come true, because the moment I lost it, was the last moment I realized I had it. It's a common thing, many people don't re-

"Excuse me miss? Any change??" A man comes from an alley, interrupting my thoughts, how rude. He is in raggedy clothes, torn here and there from possibly being on the streets, but the "tears" seem a little too clean.

"Sorry sir." I say with some respect as I pull my hands from my empty pockets. "Just like a lot of other people, I'm living from one moment to the next." Now this is my cue to start walking away, hopefully without any trouble.

"That's alright miss, just know you picked a good day to come here, stay safe." The strange man said with a smirk on his face at the end. Almost sending shivers down my spine, almost.

I then turned around, trying not to let the man notice I was in a rush to get away from him. Yes I may seem to be the same status as him, but here, that means nothing, you are as likely to meet a corner girl as you are a fake homeless mam, and let's be honest, both are highly common. Still, even as I walk away from this man, I can't help but feel his eyes on the back of my head.

This isn't exactly an unfamiliar feeling, as I have been put in this situation before. But I believe that this should change, people shouldn't have to stay on the streets, or live with barely enough money to buy a few extra items. So I am going to make it my mission to fix what is wrong in this world, or at the least try, as that will be the most I can do.
