So his name is Y huh, i doubt thats his real name but it at least gives me something to call him for now. Whats bothering me more than the name is hiw trusting of me he seems, guessing my motivations almost instantly and then pinning it on chance is to suspicious to be true, and explaining how his power works with no hesitation is just plain suicidal. Well he probably assumed i couldn't keep up with his absurd speed so telling me wasnt too much of a risk, he was right and it made him seem more trustworthy. Maybe Y actually is just a trusting person and im overthinking things, i try and reassure myself but the suspicions continue to nag at me.
Suddenly the scenery changes, we are no longer in the cave, its bright outside and i gulp the fresh air letting it fill my lungs.
"Hmm haven't been here before" Y says puzzeldly and i look around at our surroundings, my eyes blinking rapidly to adjust to the sudden change of light.
"Wait" i sputter "i know this place" and i do, this is the where i trained at with mikku, jeiku, and the others. It brings back memories, i cant decide if theyre good or bad, but i undoubtedly have a strong connection to this place.
"You stay put while i figure out where we are in relation to my camp" Y snaps his fingers and i dont even see him move, to me it looks like hes just standing in place "found it already"
"Really?"
"Yeah i surveyed the area real fast" Y says it like its an obvious answer. "Do you know any protection jutsu?"
"Some basic ones yeah, why?"
"Well if you want to get back fast i can take us but without any protection my speed will tear your body apart" that doesn't sound fun.
"How advanced do i need to do"
"Well that depends on how much you value having skin" i sigh, raising my hands in front of me,
"I think this should do the trick" i do four hand signs quickly and i can feel a thick layer of chakra surrounding me, like armor.
"Ready?" Y asks and I nod, i dont even have time to get ready for what happens next, in an instant im in an unfamiliar place, i feel disoriented and dizzy, the entire front of my body burns and it feels like i was dragged over broken glass. I look down, my eyes adjusting to my surroundings and i see myself, the front of my jacket is torn open and my skin looks ragged as though someone violently rubbed sandpaper on it for an hour, blood drips steadily out of the many places where the skin was torn, i look at my hands and now realize that they too are torn to shreds, i can see bone in several spots. I feel blood trickle down my neck and down my chest, or whats left of my chest, and i realize something, i cant hear anything. My hands find my ears and i feel something wet, blood, my eardrums have ruptured. I look at my blood soaked hands and try blinking, but im unable to, my eyes feel dry. I begin to stumble around not paying any attention to my surroundings, i sense there are other people in the vicinity but my panic wont allow me to process any of it.
So this is what it feels like to have your body torn apart, i shouldve learned a stronger protection jutsu. My regrets come to an abrupt halt as quickly as they started as i trip over my own feet and slam my head into a rock, i hit it hard, even though i cant hear a thing i can only imagine the sickening crack that the impact must have made. Were this a normal situation i doubt i would've been able to stand back up after a hit like that, but the adrenaline shoots me back to my feet, blood pours out of skull where i hit my head, several yards ahead of me i spot water, i cant decipher if its a river or a lake or just a stream, but its water. I clumsily walk forward each step draining more and more of my energy, i fall to my knees in front of the water and see myself in the reflection, my skull is cracked open and i think i see my brain. But thats not the worst of it, not by a longshot, i realize why i wasnt able to blink, my skin on my face and a good portion of the muscle beneath is completely gone, like a walking skeleton, i see another reflection standing behind me before i pass out, i cant make out who it is at first but right before my eyes close i see his smile, Y is standing right behind me with a grin that goes ear to ear.
