im standing in an open field, im wearing a plain t shirt and shorts. i have no weapons with me. i have my arm attached to my body and i feel calm. the light breeze tickles my face and i take a deep breath of the fresh air. i like it here, im happy here.
"its your fault" a voice says, but its my voice, it must be my thoughts but these are my thoughts. so how is speaking?
"who are you" i look around for the source of the voice.
"im you" now standing in front of me is me, a perfect reflection, but while im in casual clothes he is fully geared up.
"what are you" he disappears and the peaceful field shifts into the aftermath of a battle, the sky is red and there are several fires burning. corpses litter the ground. i walk around until i hear a cough, i rush over to the source and see mayumi, shes bleeding out. "mayumi!" i fall over trying to get to her.
"buki why didnt you save me?" i look up and mayumi is crying, "buki you couldnt do anything" she morphs into my father and he speaks, slurring his words as he does.
"ibuki *cough* you son of a bitch *hiccup* im gonna *hiccup* kill you"
i cower in fear and whimper.
"please dont hit me" but he morphs again this time into akira.
"i always hated you ibuki" akira says in an angry tone. he morphs again, now into fuya.
"buki you tried your best. it isnt your fault." her face begins to melt off "it isnt your fault buki" her voice contorts "it isnt your fault"
"fuya!" i jolt awake, shaking. i feel so stupid for yelling fuyas name, what if someone heard me. that was just a nightmare. my breathing slows down and i regain composure. i check the time on the clock mounted on the wall. fuck, breakfast is almost over. i sigh and roll out of bed. i wont tell anyone about my dream.
