everyone lets out a collective gasp as they see what's waiting for us in the mess hall. blood covers what looks like everything in the room, chunks of flesh and entrails litter the ground, ripped from their owners, closest to the door is hashirama, hes breathing at the very least so i instinctively stop his bleeding with my power, further into the room is yoritomo, his face and chest are covered in so many stab wounds hes barely recognizable as human but its definitely him. and at the far end of the room is hiro, his stomach is torn open and entrails spill out, hes been strung up and looks as though he had been partially eaten, bone is visible in various spots and the stench of blood is suffocating. all of us are frozen in place unable to do anything.
"boo" a creaky voice says behind me, i jump and turn around at the same time, standing in front of me is a man with deep scars in his face and a large oversized coat with giant sleeves, he smiles and i see what appears to be fangs, hes smiling but there is nothing behind those eyes except for bloodlust. i try to say something but can't. i feel a sharp but brief pain in my head and then in an instant i feel as though my life force itself has been sapped away. i stumble
"instant transmission!" i need to get out of here, anywhere is safer. but nothing happens. "instant transmission!" again, nothing. butcher begins to laugh maniacally
"what the hell did you do to him!" jin yells at butcher
"i just took his jutsu away" butcher laughs harder. took away my jutsu?
"you bastard!" kazuya shouts, he rushes at butcher but butcher grabs him by the throat, hes lifted into the air "ill kill you" butcher throws kazuya through the wall, he breaks down every wall in his path and then skids to a halt on the grass outside. butcher walks towards him, his kunai dropping from his sleeves
"i thought your threat level was supposed to be very high?" he says mockingly to kazuya "did your buddy akira lie"
"what did you say" ibuki growls
"oh i guess you wouldnt know" butcher says "he sold you all out to me" he laughs. butcher stumbles forward and kazuya is standing there, he punched butcher with all of his strength but it was pointless "did someone throw a pebble at me" butcher uppercuts kazuya and theres a loud crack, his jaw breaks and hes sent flying, hes knocked unconscious. "you can come out now" butcher sounds frustrated as 5 other shinobi emerge from the shadows. "you can kill them if you want i got what i came for" the shinobi begin advancing towards us.
"you killed my friend and my sensei!" ibuki rushes forward and one of the shadow shinobi try and stop him but ibuki slashes his throat with a kunai without breaking his stride, well thats one of them down i think to myself. ibuki yells and jumps at butcher. the remaining shadow shinobi square up ready to attack, mikku, jeiku, fuya, and jin get ready to fight to the death. mayumi drags me away because i still cant move.
"stay put" she says and then rushes to join the battle that has now broken out. im able to see ibuki and butcher, neither of them has made a move yet, theres only one way we win this and thats by killing butcher but with my jutsu gone we dont stand a chance. i wish i had trained more instead of just relying on my jutsu for everything, without it... im dead weight.
