During the meeting, they discussed boundary replacements, army unification, the ongoing threat of humans, and the solidification of their treaty. "The Demon King and I agreed that we need a solid foundation for this treaty. So, we have decided that we shall seal it through the marriage of my daughter Elma, and the Demon King's most trusted Grand General and adopted son Natsu," the Dragon King said with his usual loud and obnoxious voice. Elma went bright red and let her usual calm and noble deminer crumble as she sank to the floor. Natsu on the other hand just sat there in complete shock, unable to formulate words. "Furthermore, there will be two weddings held. One will be held here and one will be held at the Demon King's palace two days after," the Dragon King said right afterward. Both Natsu and Elma sat there in shock as the Dragon King went on about the wedding preparations for the two of them. "W-W-Wait f-father t-t-there h-h-has to b-be a-a-a m-misu-u-nderst-t-tanding," Elma said with a bright red face. "Nope. There's no mistake in this document," the Dragon King said.
After the meeting, Natsu pulled Elma aside to discuss what happened. "I never thought this would be so soon," she said flusteredly, pacing around. "I mean we have been dating for 50,000 years so we kind of had it coming," Natsu said with little change in his voice. "That's also why I wanted to talk to you. I wanted to make our relationship official," Natsu said while kneeling, and pulling out a small box. He slowly opened it to reveal a beautiful solid crystal blue diamond ring. "Will you marry me?" Natsu asked in a somber voice. Elma stood there for a solid 10 seconds before rocketing up because of a bloody nose. She almost made it to the lower atmosphere when Natsu stopped her nosebleed and brought her back down. He wiped away the blood and propped her up against a wall. "Are you ok," Natsu asked as she slowly regained consciousness. "Yes,…" Elma said weakly, "...I will marry you," Natsu's once unbreakable face now had a huge smile on it. "I'm happy to hear that," Natsu said.
As Natsu carried Elma to her room he couldn't help but smile the entire way there. Every time Elma looked at Natsu he would simply smile back, but it was enough to make a trail of bodily fluids behind them. As they approached her room, the Dragon King and Queen rushed up to them with hopeful looks in their eyes. "So, how did it go?" the Dragon King asked. Natsu held up his and Elma's hand to reveal the rings on their thumbs. "I'm so happy for you," the Dragon Queen said. "Thank you for everything," Natsu said as he carried Elma into her room. When he got into her room he laid her down on her bed that was three times bigger than her. He gazed down at her soft face, remembering all the adventures they had together. A warm, genuine smile that could melt anyone's heart formed on Natsu's face. "If this is the maiden that I am going to marry, then not all hope is lost," Natsu said to himself.
As Natsu exited the room he was met by the sparkling eyes of the Dragon king and Queen. "We're so proud of you. We knew you two would be the perfect pair," the Dragon King said with his booming voice. "Well, if it weren't for you two we would still be strangers to each other," Natsu said with a grin. Just then a guard came bounding toward them yelling. "Your Highness, you have a visitor!" the guard screamed. "Who is it?" the Dragon King asked. "It's the humans! They've come!" the guard hollered. "I will tend to them at once," the Dragon King said while trying to carry himself across the corridor. "You should come with us," the Dragon Queen said weakly. "This is your business, not mine," Natsu said reluctantly. "You are a part of this family now," she said while she grabbed his arm and started pulling him towards the throne room. Natsu sighed, lifted the Dragon Queen into his arms, and set her back down in the throne room.
When the humans saw Natsu they burst into outrage at the Dragon King. They were not big fans of Natsu, and rightfully so. Natsu was responsible for the disappearance of over 75% of humanity's population. They immediately sprang into action, drawing their weapons and charging at Natsu, ready for blood. In an instant, Natsu released a burst of aura that made all of the soldiers drop their weapons and scream in fear as Natsu slowly approached them. He picked up one of them and asked, "Why are you here?" When all the soldier did was shiver in fear Natsu shrugged and tossed him aside, making him fly at Mach 20 toward the mountain range that he had destroyed earlier. Natsu then picked up the next soldier and repeated the same process for the other 20 or so soldiers. When he got to the last one the soldier finally said something along the lines of "Go rot in hell, worm-blood" but Natsu didn't hear him because he threw the soldier as he was saying it.
He then started to walk toward the Dragon King. "Why the hell were these humans here?" Natsu demanded. "It was a feeble attempt by the humans to try and negotiate with us. I was just about to dismiss them when you arrived," the Dragon King said. "Come now my future son-in-law, we have much to do before the ceremony!" the Dragon King yelled as he grabbed Natsu's arm. "I'm sure all the formalities can wait," Natsu said as he was yanked toward the center of the hall. "Oh, don't worry. They are," the Dragon King said mysteriously. The grand hall was a massive hollowed-out cave with stalactites and stalagmites lining the walls and ceiling. Enormous pillars lined either side of a rosy red carpet and had banners adorned with dragon heads to break the tans and greys. At the end of the hall stood a platform for the Dragon King to lie upon when he was in his true form.
Many of the humans took inspiration from draconic and demonic ceremonies without ever realizing it. The wedding ceremony consisted of a lot of seats, an altar, and a priest who was not at all jealous of the couple. One slight difference is that the bride and groom have to fuse their blood to be eternally bound to each other. They do this by taking a ceremonial knife with a rune infused in it and stabbing it through their hands. In Natsu's case, he had to make a hole beforehand because his skin would shatter the dagger. But he also had to make the hole right as the priest was stabbing because of Natsu's regeneration abilities. After that whole ordeal, their names are written into a magic book for all eternity with their blood. Other than those two ceremonies, everything else was the same. There are flower girls and a ring bearer and all the other shit you do at a wedding.
It is also customary that the groom wear ceremonial armor, except for the fact that Natsu doesn't have any because he never needed it. So he had to get one tailored as they were rehearsing for the wedding. It was silver with red cloth inlays in between the plates. The shoulder pads and breastplate had gold inscriptions that told a story about his life. It was a remarkable piece that Natsu thoroughly enjoyed watching it be made. And while he watched it Elma started rehearsing for her duties as the bride. As is accustomed to human weddings the bride is in a white gown, a veil, and sometimes a bouquet. But a draconic wedding is quite different, in that the bride is also in armor because there is no physical difference between males and females at an early age. So they can fight at the same level, the only difference being skill. At a stage similar to puberty, their bodies begin to change.
After the main ceremony, the couple will take a ceremonial flight to celebrate their new bond, dancing, hovering, and making elaborate flying patterns. After about half an hour the couple will fly out on a honeymoon to share a bed. It is a wonderful sight to behold because it is a tradition that is rarely held since it is a custom for the royal family only to have one child, and they already have strong ties to many dwarven and elfish tribes. Though Demon and Dragon Kings' in the past have had feuds over land. This alliance would combine their lands so to settle their eon long dispute, as well as help fight back against the advancing human armies. The Dragons have long remained a neutral party in the war. But as the humans slowly moved their way into the Dragon's ancient territory the alliance was necessary. Not only were Dragons strong, but they also were very adept at magic. Dragons were the best at mastering spells quickly.
Although Natsu was powerful he was also adept at magic. But he was not as good as Elma, who was world-renowned for her incredible precision and power. It is said that watching her is like watching two river fairies dance under a full moon. Both elegant and graceful, she was a master that many looked up to. Her kind and innocent nature was also a crowd favorite, with many people calling her the Last Angel of Heaven. She specializes in water, ice, air, and thunder magic, focusing on quick, decisive blows that aim to pacify her opponents mercifully. One could say Natsu is the complete opposite, focusing on fire, earth, and lightning magic to destroy his opponents with crude, hellish spells that he pours all of his power into. There is no fighting Natsu, only reflecting on your life choices. He rarely uses magic because he is a master of all forms of martial arts. They call him a walking calamity, the courier of death, a demon that was banished from heaven and hell because they feared his power.
Two opposites colliding with eachother, the light and the dark, Elma and Natsu were completely different. One born without struggle all her life, the perfect being only ever knowing kindness and love, and one born in blood and death, moving from one massacre to another, never knowing the warmth of a hug or embrace. Natsu the Grim Reaper, is molded by hatred, anger, death, and emptiness. He has suffered all his life because of the deep-seated hatred humans had that wasn't even their own. All the while Elma lived a life of luxury, never worrying about an empty stomach, war, or poverty. She was the best at everything she did, yet she strived to be better. When they first met, they did not get along. Elma saw Natsu as a dirty street rat not worthy of the dirt beneath her feet, but Natsu saw her as an entitled brat who could never understand pain, so they butted heads alot, and on one occasion they fought.
During the Great Meeting of all the Great Kings, Natsu first met Elma. At the time, Natsu was an honorary bodyguard for the Demon King and Queen. The Dragon King and Queen brought Elma along to show her how to act at an official government meeting. When their parents introduced them to each other, Natsu did what he was told, got on one knee with his head low, and said, "I am Natsu Yugi, honorary guard and first son of the Demon King and Queen. May I request to know your name fair lady?" in a deep almost raspy voice as he extended his hand. As Elma stared at the hand in front of her she simply bowed and said, "I am Elma Featherwing, first and only daughter of the Dragon King and Queen. It is a pleasure to meet you," though most only heard a silky smooth voice Natsu could hear a subtle distaste in her voice. As she looked up she saw a swirling red mist raging around Natsu. A sudden feeling of fear, dread, and powerlessness washed over everyone in the room. As his eyes burned red with hate and anger he said in a demonic, echoey voice that rattled your spine, "H U M A N S!!!"
