Chapter 10 - Breakfast

Brother has been unconscious for the past 2 weeks and the news about me and Ace had subsided. There wasn't a lot of paparazzi chasing us around though I do get dozens of spam a day. Ace and I got closer and he gets along with my mother. I hadn't realized we had almost the same interests. He enjoyed visiting the orphanage and the elderly. He had a heart. He also told me he donates money to the orphanage every month.

Today we were going to visit BBX. I miss him. The doctor told us that his awakening was unpredictable but they is an 80% chance he will wake up by the end of this season there is a 20% that he would either die or not wake up at all and they will have to kill him in the end. I don't want him to die.

Soon it would be Christmas and I don't want him to miss it. I want him to celebrate it with us the same way we did sincerely we were young. At least Ace is here for me. He did keep up with his promise. He was there to comfort me when I was down, to make sure I'm always smiling.

I like the way all his attention is on me. He's just like the perfect boyfriend. The month is almost ending. Just left with 2 weeks. I hope we will still be talking after this.

"I'm waiting for you outside," he tells me on the phone.

"Really?" I ask checking through the window, "You came early today," I say, "Do you mind waiting for a few minutes. I haven't gotten ready yet".

"Sure," he says.

"You can wait in the lounge," I tell him.

"Okay," he answers.

I disconnect as I see him I smile. 'Why am I smiling?' I ask myself. I enter my bathroom and turn on the shower. I take a short shower thinking I would delay Ace. The lounge was a boring place to be after all.

I enter my walk-in closet and take a white sports skirt and a black top along with a white jacket and black sneakers. I go and sit in front of the dressing table as I brushed my hair. I braid it into two and put in a bit of natural makeup and red lipstick. Not too much not too little.

Once I was done I go downstairs to meet Ace touring around. I guess he didn't too bored. "Is this your family?" he asks.

I nod as I walk to where he was.

"Who is she?" he asks.

I look at where he was pointing and my smile fades away. Memories flooded my mind as I tried not to cry. "Oh her? That's my little sister," I say.

"Where is she? I've never met her," he asks again.

"She...she died of cancer six years ago," I tell him.

"Oh. I'm sorry, I..," I cut him.

"No need, you didn't know. I was never close to her anyway since she was always in the hospital though it still hurts me to think that I once had a little sibling," I explain.

"I bet it's hard for you to not have your brother right now," he says.

"Very hard, unlike Reina and I, I was closer to BBX," I tell him.

"Why do you call him BBX?" he asks.

I look at him and his face was written curiosity all over it. "It stands for Big Brother Xavier," I explain.

"Oh".

"Would you like to join me for breakfast?" I offer.

"Is that an invitation to a date?" he asks sarcastically.

"What if it is?" I say with a smirk.

"What's on the menu?" he asks.

"Veggies," I lie.

"What! Is that what you eat?" he asks in shock.

"Yep," I answer proudly, "We are actors.

"We need to eat healthy to stay fit," I tell him.

"Says people who don't work out. I don't need to eat healthy all the time when I can burn the fat away through working out," he says.

"One, I do work out and two, that's not healthiness, you will be damaging your insides if you just concentrate on your physical appearance. That's why Sir Johns Alexandria died. Who knows, you might be next," I debate.

"Very funny of you. Come on. I smell bacon," he says.

"Wow Ace," I say.

"Let's go otherwise the food will get cold and that, now that's unhealthy," he says.

I roll my eyes and lead him to the dining hall. He sits across me as the servants dish the food. "Is this a table just for one person?" he asks.

"Yes but it's also for when I have my friends or family over," I explain.

"Doesn't it feel lonely sometimes," he asks.

"Sometimes. Why? Concerned?" I tease.

"No, just curious," he answers.

"Mmm...wanna live with me?" I continue teasing him.

He looks at me and for a moment I see his face flush red. Was he blushing? I ignore it and ask, "Don't you live alone?".

"No," he answered.

"Really? I thought you also lived alone".

"I stay with my best friend. He was thrown out by his evil stepmother," he informs me.

"That's not nice," I whisper but he hears me.

"Yeah".

The room is silent and the atmosphere gets awkward. "The food is getting cold. Eat up before we run out of time to visit brother," I tell him taking a piece of bacon, eggs, and two toasts.

"Don't forget we have to go the flower shop to buy flowers and to see Celeste," he reminds me.

"Uh huh," I answer with a nod.

We finish eating and leave.
