WILL'S POV
Will woke up that morning with a smile on his face. He had dreamt of Nico (who looked as handsome as ever) and his dad, Apollo (who kept saying he was "incognito" and to "call him Otis" for reasons unknown to him.) As he looked over at his wall, he thought about how much had changed. He used to try to hide the fact that he was a gay, but now…he felt as tho his friends had earned the right to know.
After all, how much had they done for him and the people he loved? He was willing to come out to his friends, and tell them about him and Nico too, but only if Nico gave his approval. Will wasn't about to try anything that would jeopardize his relationship with Nico.
On his wall, he had many posters of his favorite bands, pictures of his friends, but his favorite out of all of them was his picture of Nico. In the picture, he looked as dark and mysterious as ever, but it was also the first time he had allowed Will to give him a hug. In the picture, Will was grinning ear to ear, and Nico was pouting. Still, it was Will's favorite picture. Of course, now he and Nico had kissed multiple times, but when he had first hugged Nico it had been so special because Nico never let anyone touch him unless absolutely necessary.
As his cabin mates began to wake up around him, he knew he had to get up. He had medic duty tonight for the game of Capture the Flag that was going to be played as honor to the Hunters of Artemis who were staying some weeks at camp.
He rolled out of bed, and quickly ran to the bathroom to get dressed. He didn't bother to comb his blonde hair though, there was no point because he was going to spend most of his day in the infirmary. He walked outside, and quickly jogged over to the camp hospital. He spent a lot of time here, as he was the camp's best healer and designated head doctor.
As he began his work of putting different medicines into bottles, he bummed a tune he had come up with on the spot. Thirty or so minutes later, the rest of the medics were in the infirmary doing their part to help patients. There were only a few right now, but Will prepared other beds anyway, in preparation for later. By now, it was almost afternoon, so he figured he would take a break and go visit Nico and wish him good luck protecting the Camp Half-Blood flag later.
He walked out of the infirmary and strolled along the pathways until he reached Nico's cabin. He had done an amazing job at redesigning the outside of his house. He still hadn't been in, due to him always working, but he hoped Nico would invite him in. He was not disappointed, because when Nico opened the door, he held it open so Will could slip in.
After apologizing for the mess, Nico asked Will to help with the dishes. As much as he would have loved to stay and spent more time with his boyfriend, he declined the offer. He made an excuse as to why he had to leave and quickly departed before he could convince himself to stay longer.
The inside of Nico's house had been nicely decorated, and due to Annabeth's excellent architecture skills, the walls constructed to divide rooms in half had been put up with perfection. As Will walked back to the infirmary, he stopped at his cabin on the way and grabbed a bagel, smeared some cream cheese on it, and continued to walk. He spent the rest of his afternoon working with his siblings to clean the rooms and make sure it was in tip top shape. Just before he clocked out, Annabeth walked in holding a little girl's hand. She looked little like Annabeth, but her stormy gray eyes said that they were siblings.
"Hey Annabeth," Will said. "What seems to be the problem?"
"It's my sister." Annabeth said. "She fell and scraped her hands and elbow, so I told her we could come see you and see if you could do anything to help her."
Will took the girl's hands and studied them closely. "They look pretty bad, but they aren't that deep. Wash them carefully with warm water, And they'll be good as new in jiffy. I can even give you some bandages to speed up the process if you want."
After the girl nodded ok, he had the girl wash her hands in the sink and after he dried them, he put a bandaid on each one. Annabeth thanked him, and walked out with the little girl. Will finished cleaning up, and just then he heard the sound of the horn that signals dinner. He grabbed his jacket, slipped it on, and walked out of the infirmary. After dinner, he would have to go back, but that was fine.
As he walked to the dinner pavilion, he looked around for Nico. Nico usually ate dinner at Will's table, even though you are supposed to stay at your own. However, due to Hades' kids not having a table, that made it rather hard for Nico to follow the rules. As Will looked around, he didn't see Nico anywhere. He waited for a few more minutes, but dinner was about to start and Nico was still a no show.
He wondered if he had scared him off by calling him love earlier out of the blue, so he decided to go to Nico's house and see if he was ok. As he walked out of the dinner pavilion without having eaten anything, he got some weird stares. He jogged down the paths to the Hades cabin, and knocked on the door.
