Chapter 46 Rivals Meet
We all bore witness to Morgan's punishment. Sadly it was obvious the punishment would be way less severe than what would be wanted. We watched as she was bound to a post as her back was lashed over 20 times. Each one is equivalent to a year I was poisoned.
It was interesting to see people's reactions to it all. Some were looking at her with disgust for her actions. Others were looking at her with indifference, however understanding. Watching her back be cut open and bloody sadly didn't quell the anger I held for her. This was far from enough to be cathartic or any shape way or form of justice. It seems I wasn't the only one. Even my mother looked with mild contentment.
