The amazingly sweet aroma of coffee floated throughout the kitchen air. The man living on his own in the house preferred black coffee. The man drank his jet-black coffee as he stared off into space. He worked in an office where only the higher-ups had a say in how the company was run. The man yearned for a life like that but, he was just a salary worker working an office job. The man had short, spiky, and ruffled light red hair. He has dark green eyes which contrast with his bubbly personality. He has heroic tendencies and nine times out of ten is more likely to be the main protagonist of an isekai series. His skin is in the middle of light and tan. His whole life he was always the average height for his age never taller never shorter but now he's around 171 centimeters or 5"7. His body is also average not muscular or skinny just, average. Despite being so outgoing his life is boring and every day of his life nothing of note has happened to him. That is Renki Wukong's life in a nutshell. He's 22 and nothing exciting is ever going to happen to him. He is generic. Renki put down his cup and took out his phone scrolling through several random videos on the internet and suddenly, an ad takes over his entire screen.
"Huh? What is this?"
The ad read, "Bored? Well if you are or are not then you have no choice. This ad is being sent to all electronic devices in Japan because Japan is the least creative country in the world and people are dying due to constant overwork. So now, you will be sent into a new world!"
"What a bunch of crap!"
He didn't believe the ad, you couldn't blame him either the average person like him, would think it was a virus.
"Yawn."
His eyelids suddenly felt heavy and his muscles relaxed.
"Why do I feel so sleep-"
Suddenly like a baby, he fell asleep crashing to the kitchen floor. For a moment everything was black as his body was entering REM sleep but, something felt off or to be more precise, unnatural and forced. Then his brain felt as if something was messing with its typical brain wave pattern, in turn, forcing a higher electrical output from his brain. He spent what felt like hours in this black void as his brain tried to fight off whatever or whoever was messing with its brain waves. Renki's brain and the unknown force fought for control. But, like every battle that has ever been fought in the history of fighting, there was eventually a winner. The winner won control over Renki's consciousness and his whole body. The winner of this battle was… the invader. Renki's brain was stronger but, whatever technology or magic the outside force was using was stronger. But, the outside force only had control for a moment before knowingly, giving back control over to Renki's brain. So what was the point of the battle? That remains to be seen.
