'The Lab'
'Beep beep, beep beep'
Huh, where am I?; Ahh, I over slept Marcels going to kill me. I got to throw on some clothes fast and where did he say to meet him again?; Right, in the lab; But I don't know where that is. I could have sworn he told me yesterday. Let me see here. 'James remembering what Marcel said yesterday. "Now, heres how to find the lab; From your room, walk straight down the hall, take a left, then you'll see a stair leading down; the lab will be the first door on your right."
Okay, I got it. I hope I don't get scolded for being late. Hah, I'm so tired I ran all the way here now I'm all sweaty; 'Door opens'
"Great, you're here."
"Um, hi. I'm James."
"Oh, you were right Marcel, 'he is cute and very pleasing' to look at." "I can't wait to do things to your body."
"I think that's enough, 'Marissa.' Are you trying to 'scare him' away?" said Marcel
"Why do you like to kill all my fun?" Let's get to the chase then; Nice to meet you, James. I'm Miss Marissa Bane, head Scientist and doctor of this lab and the last person alive who knows how to create the Maze X serum.
"So it's you Marcel spoke of. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss Bane."
"Please, call me Marissa, it would sound more sexy coming from your sweet mouth."
"Ugh, I feel sick. Someone get me two cc of knock out fluid." said Marcel
"Shut up, would you; I'm going to explain it to him now."
"Took you long enough."
"So, James." I hope Marcel here filled you in on everything. If he hasn't, then it's simple. We designed the Maze X serum to create super soldiers.
"SUPER SOILDERS."
"Yes, you heard me correct the first time." We wanted to create soldiers that were harder to kill, soldiers that can trancend even the strongest or fastest of men mankind can offer. There are three steps to making this happen. The first step; Is checking your vitals and all round body condition. The second step is to inject you with the fluid and put you in here. To be blunt, this is the tank you'll be spending your duration in until you awake from the drug. What it does is that it helps keep your body's temperature in check while still keeping track of all your vitals. We had a few cases of people just overheating, which lead to their deaths. Now we can't have that happening to a sweet boy like you can we. You have a 50/50 chance of survival and it only gets higher the more you train and by the blood type you carry.
Sit here for me. "Are you afraid of needles?"
"No, mam."
"Well, alright this just became easier than I thought." I'm going to take a sample of your blood to do some basic test, it would take about a day or two to get back the results, but until then I want to test your body functionality. We're going to test your speed, strength, intelligence, reflexes and recovery time. "Is that okay with you, James?"
"Yes, its okay."
'3 hour later'
'Okay, were done.' "You two meet me back here in one hour. I have to sort out these files now." said Marissa
"Alright, we get to leave, FINALLY. Let's go James, I have something super cool I want to show you."
"I appreciate it, miss Marissa." "Hey Marcel, wait for me."
'Now, let's see here so much paperwork I have to do I cant even see my desk anymore.' "Why did I want to become a doctor again?" Ugh. James; A young boy slave who ran away from his keepers just to get captured by scary village people. Becoming a sacrifice in their terrible ritual. No parents and he doesn't even know his last name; Plus, to top it off, he has multiple scars all over his back and torso. Just how much madness did this boy had to endure? But it says here that his health is in good condition a matter a fact it's amazing. What about his… Oh my god, his strength is incredible. His speed and reflexes are almost unreal. "How could such a young kid posses this much potential?" His race may have some part to play in this. His light brown skin, hazel eyes, long black curly hair, his body structures lean but tall. He's almost 5'7 in height'; And his age, we estimate it to be around 15 years. This is quiet a find, young Sachi made and I won't lie. I am pleased.
"Where back. Hey, Marissa, where the hell are you?"
"Hi again miss Marissa, so how did I do?" said James
"How did you do?" You scored perfect. Your body is almost unreal and so it should be, or else you won't be able to please me when you get older.
"Huh."
"I'll be honest with you. If you wanted, you could take the serum right now; Based on your condition, I mean your chances just went from 50/50 to an 80% chance of survival."
"That's amazing." said James
"See kid, I told you there's nothing to worry about."
"Now, it's really your choice whether you take it now or wait till your blood results come back." I'll give you some advice doh if it was me, I would wait till the blood results come back so I would know if my chance just increased. "There's no need to rush."
"Okay, then I'll wait." Thank you, miss Marissa; I really am thankful. I was having thoughts about if I could even do this, but you just gave me hope.
'Two days later'
"Faster, 'sounds of blades clashing' faster; Why are you moving so slow? We've been at this for two days now and you've been doing great, so what's wrong with you?" said Marcel
"Did you forget already?" Today's the day I get back my blood results and to top it off, Sachi said she'd be dropping off my new weapon later. "With all these things happening at once, who wouldn't be off?"
"Ah, I guess I kind of forgot, but in my defense, two days is a lot." "I can't even remember much things that happened yesterday; Haha."
"UGH, you're hopeless, you know that, right?" It's about time, I'm heading down to the lab. "Are you coming Marcel?"
'Door opens'
"Hello, is anyone here?" Miss Marissa, it's me, James, and I brought Marcel with me too.
'sound of beaker blowing up'
"WHAT'S THAT?" said James and Marcel
"Don't worry everybody, it's just a minor explosion, nothing to worry about."
"Miss Marissa, are you okay?"
"I'm fine there no need to worry my sweet James It turns me on to know how much you care, haha."
You said that my results would be ready by today, right?"
"Yes, it's ready." I've got it right here and let me tell you, you're really one lucky kid. It's almost as if someone wants you to take the serum.
"What do you mean by that?" said James
"Well, for starters; You've got O positive blood. It's amazing to me to be honest, and that just shot your chances of survival up to 99.9 percent, with the condition of your body an all. If you were to take the serum now theres almost no chance of failure." "With all that said, what are you going to do now James?"
To be continued...
