Alexander and Edward were seated in the carriage as it made its way out of the castle. Edward was not having a good feeling and decided to interrupt the silence in the carriage.
"Alex, do you think it's a good idea to bring her back to the castle, she has wondered off and might be lost already, can't you find another toy to play with?" Asked Edward thinking about the situation.
"Oh please Edward, you should have said something before we brought her to our world yesterday, she's special and you know it, you could even sniff it out of her, I need to find out what she is" said Alexander as his eyes darkened.
"I just don't understand, all this trouble for a human girl" said Edward.
"Don't conclude yet Edward, there might be something that she can do for me that no one else can" said Alexander as he leaned back and crossed his legs.
Alexander's mind wandered off to when he used to be a little boy playing in the castle, he wasn't crowned king yet because of his stingy sisters. He was the last surviving son of the royal family, all his brothers had died during the war, and he was left to be the heir to the throne, but some of his sisters didn't agree on the matter, because Alexander was the son of a concubine. His father never married his mother and he hated the old man for it.
The only person who loved Alexander more than anything and treated him like they were from the same mother was his sister Rose.
Rose loved him and took care of him when the rest of his sisters treated him like dirt, she even swore to get him the throne. They both shared a beautiful bond.
Alexander sighed and looked out of the window, even if people perceived him as cold and arrogant, he still had a soft spot in his cold, dark and icy heart.
Ana was still running through the empty paths of the forest, and she wondered if there were no people in the kingdom or passers by that could help her get to the village, her clothes were already dirty due to the mud and dust that were settled on the bushes and tree branches.
"Can't a carriage just pass by and help me get out of this goddamned place" she yelled as she looked around, but it was then that realization came into her and she saw that she had wondered off into the 15th century with no way to get back home, she was lost and she was hungry.
She kept on walking down the opened path just so that if she wanted to return to the castle, she would go back, but in her rightful mind, Ana knew she could not go back to meet that psycho and ask him for help, she wasn't nuts to do that.
There were no cars, no taxis, no pick up drivers and there was absolutely no means of technology in this place.
Ana felt terrible and sat on the grass, she closed her eyes and said " Mom, dad, Jacob, if you can hear me, please send help" she believed that the dead could help the living, especially those who were nice people when they were alive.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of horses galloping and she stood up quickly and smiled, she ran towards the road side and started screaming for help.
"Help, help!!!, please help me" she yelled as the man inside the carriage spotted her and asked his coach man to stop driving, the man opened the window and looked at her, her clothes were filthy and she looked a mess, no one would like to take in a crazy lady in their carriage.
"And what do you want girl" he asked her as he eyed her disgustingly.
"Good day sir, I was wondering if you could give me a ride to the nearest village" she said with her puppy eyes.
The man eyes her one more time and instructed his coach man to continue, they splashed dirty water on her and they left her there stranded. She got so angry and raised her middle finger to the carriage that was driving away.
"People in this century are so FUCKING RUDE!!!" she yelled at the carriage as it was moving away.
She was all left alone and the forest became quiet again, she even wondered of there were no birds around.
It was already noon when Ana's stomach started to grumble, she could no longer handle the hunger and luckily for her, she saw an apple tree, she had never climbed before but she thought that it was easy climbing a tree, there were some apples on the floor, but she wanted the fresh ones on the tree, who knew what type of creature had put their dirty mouths on the apples.
She looked up at the tree and didn't seem to be scared.
"Won't be that hard right?, I can do this" she said to herself as she started climbing the tree, she put her leg on the branch and stretched to get the nearest apple above her head, she couldn't reach it so she lifted her body a little higher, but when she caught the apple, she slipped and fell down from the tree.
"Ouch!!" She exclaimed as she fell to the ground and her leg hit a stone, it didn't hurt her because she never checked if it was twisted or not, all her interest was in the apple she got from the tree, she smiled to herself and wiped the sweat on her forehead with her hand and ate the apple.
When she was done, she tried standing, but her left leg was in so much pain, that she couldn't even stand, she knew then that she had sprained it, she cursed and sat there, thinking of how to get away with a twisted ankle, she was so tired that all the thinking made her fall into a deep and heavy slumber.
It was already evening and Ana was still sleeping under the apple tree, Alexander's carriage was already paddling by, and then he inhaled her scent from inside the carriage, he asked the coach man to stop and he stepped down from the carriage.
He followed her scent and after two minutes of inhaling it, he found her sleeping soundly under an apple tree.
He bent over and tapped her arm.
Ana's eyes were trying to see but the sun rays were blinding her, she then heard the familiar voice that said.
"Finally, I found you , you poor thing, come on now it's time to head back to the castle".
She gasped and wanted to run away, she hit the prince on his face and wanted to make a run for it, but as she stood up and wanted to take the first step, her sprained ankle didn't allow her and made her scream in pain, it was already swollen and no sane person could keep on walking with it.
"Now look what you've done to yourself pretty lass, come here let me give you a hand" said Alexander mockingly, As he was getting closer to her.
"No, no stay away from me you pervert, I don't want to go back to that ugly castle, I want to go back home, take me back home" she yelled.
"How can I take you back home if you don't come with me" said Alexander as he watched her hesitate for a minute and then she sighed deeply and thought to herself.
" He's the only one that can get me back home, so let's just go with the flow Ana".
"Good girl, you know you should have thought of that a long time ago" said Alex as he walked to her and carried her up and took her into the carriage.
She didn't know if she made the right decision, but she knew that she wanted to go back home.
