The Chinese dressed in patient attire, who were watching the commotion, were being taken aside by the police for questioning.
A policeman saw the off-road vehicle driving out, saw Elijah Hastings driving, and harbored no suspicion but instead turned his head to continue monitoring the Research Institute.
Several minutes later, the police finally confirmed that there were no gunshots inside, unsure whether the robbers had left or were up to something within.
Moving cautiously with guns and shields in hand, they then saw several individuals in white coats inside the locked front gate of the Research Institute, frantically shouting something.
Though the police didn't see any robbers through the glass, they still cautiously progressed forward.
It was then that one policeman, based on the researchers' lip movements, guessed a word:
"Bomb!"
"There's a bomb!" the policeman shouted, "Requesting backup! Request bomb disposal experts to come over!"
