When Elijah and his team reached the first Courtyard and planned to peek into the Room that seemed to be breathing, they encountered a big black dog.
The dog stood about 1.2 meters at the shoulder and looked to weigh at least 50 to 60 kilograms. Its fierce eyes stared at Elijah and his companion; it didn't show any sign of being intimidated despite being outnumbered.
What puzzled Elijah was that the dog did not bark; it just opened its mouth low and slowly advanced towards them!
"Wow, this dog... seems like it's eaten live prey before. Look at how it watches us both, just as if we were Food!" Douglas said in a low voice to Elijah, not the least bit worried.
"You're up?" Elijah turned his head and asked.
"Sure," Douglas clicked his tongue with pity: "It's a shame to waste so much meat, it might have eaten a live person, so the meat is wasted..."
