Sean Knight ignored them and went straight to Maramart.
Actually, Maramart's team had finished their work even earlier than Sean's. After coming out of the cave, they had gone to their tents to eat.
This old black man was indeed quite conspicuous because he was the only black person working with all whites; it made him stand out.
However, Maramart held a high position and lived in a tent alone; even his food was brought to him by others.
There were about twenty people in Maramart's team, with seven guards, three of whom carried guns, and the rest carried batons and such.
When Sean approached, a guard immediately stopped him.
"Strangers are not welcome here!"
"I'm looking for Mr. Maramart. I have something to discuss with him," Sean said.
"Do you know Mr. Maramart?" the tall guard asked skeptically, "Are you friends?"
"Tell him I have news from Afghanistan. He will see me."
Sean wanted to use this piece of news to get a meeting with Maramart.
