Looking out, it was more like a large village than a tribe.
It seemed that two to three hundred families could live in this village.
"There are three smaller villages nearby, also part of this tribe," Clarence Hughes explained to Sean Knight, "The entire tribe's population is about three thousand people."
The village was full of mud huts. Some trees were planted on both sides of the road, finally introducing some greenery to the view. There were fields nearby, planted with wheat and other crops.
To the north of the village was a mountain gorge, with a small river that hadn't completely dried up. The river water was not abundant, but it was the village's lifeline.
As a group of people walked into the village, the villagers peered curiously at them from their single-story houses.
The children were barefoot with faces turned dark from the sun, their eyes filled with curiosity.
The women were wrapped up tightly, some with even their eyes covered.
