It was apparent that the middle of the gorge had originally been very flat, with a sizable area that could easily accommodate a building.
However, due to the recent debris flow, many stones had mixed in, making it look dangerously unstable.
A number of trees had also been broken off by the flow, some still tenaciously sprouting leaves from the soil, while others had turned into decayed wood, becoming a paradise for insects and fungi.
"Boss, looking at this, it's quite possible that the place was destroyed by the flow," Elijah said as they walked. "They probably had it coming."
"Hard to say, let's keep going and see," Sean replied, his Sky Eye active the whole time. He could see a stone slab road buried about half a meter deep under the debris flow, leading into the mountain.
The stone slab road was buried in the soil to a depth of about half a meter.
