He decided to take Cheryl back via a different direction, partly as a recon and partly to avoid backtracking the same path.
Five minutes into their return journey, upon reaching a relatively spacious area that Sean Knight thought might be where the servants of the gods gathered, he suddenly halted.
"What's wrong?" Cheryl sensed the change in Sean's mood and whispered.
"There are some... traces here..." Sean Knight looked around; he had activated Sky Eye but didn't see any living creatures.
Slightly relieved, he said to Cheryl:
"Turn your flashlight over here... look, what is this?"
Following his direction, Cheryl shone her flashlight at the indicated spot.
"What is this... left by something?" Cheryl was startled by the sight as well!
The low wall had been rubbed to a smooth finish, and the damp grassland below it showed clear drag marks.
Although these marks seemed old, their size was noticeably large and didn't appear to be man-made.
More like an animal's doing!
