The one knocking on the door was Elijah Hastings. When Sean Knight opened the door, he saw Elijah with several shopping bags outside the door.
"Why didn't you just bring them over?" Sean knew from the bags that they were the clothes Elijah had bought for Monica Reed, and they looked quite high-end.
"It's not appropriate for me to do it alone," Elijah said with some difficulty. "Boss, shall we go together?"
Fine, at least he knows to avoid suspicion.
Sean knew that Elijah definitely had no feelings for Monica Reed, just treating her purely like a younger compatriot sister. His sympathy was overflowing.
"Alright, let's go." Sean didn't say more, and neither he nor Elijah were fond of joking around.
They knocked on Monica's door. After a while, the door opened.
Monica peeked her head out, and they could see that the hook lock behind the door was still attached.
Seeing Sean and Elijah, she smiled.
