Sean Knight withdrew the force on the trigger—shooting a wolf here shouldn't be illegal, right?
Gradually, four more wolves appeared slowly behind the first one.
They didn't leave the dense forest but stared at the movements of the first wolf.
Sean thought about it and decided that there was no need to kill all these wolves, so he aimed again at the first wolf.
That wolf had slowly crawled to the stone binding where Aiden had been blown apart. If it went any further, Sean wouldn't be able to see it.
He hesitated no more, aimed for the wolf's head, and pulled the trigger.
"Bang!"
A faint sound rang out, and a bloody hole appeared on the wolf's head, then it tilted to one side and stopped moving.
The wolves behind it were startled by the noise.
Elijah Hastings and the others were digging, and Lincoln Harrington seemed to hear the commotion, turning his head to look at Sean.
Sean waved his hand to signal that everything was fine, and Lincoln continued digging holes.
