Cheryl was startled upon hearing the news, unsure how to decide.
Sean Knight was only seven or eight meters away in the water, speaking to Cheryl:
"Tell Eric that we'll be back in two hours."
"We'll be back in two hours." Cheryl repeated Sean's words. "You can handle it on your own there. We'll hurry. Over."
Cheryl was very happy. After all, if Eric found the treasure, she could get a share–a fairly large one at that!
Sean Knight knew he had to hurry.
He walked into the water with his shovel, where it was still shallow, below his knees, occasionally shoveling underwater.
Cheryl was a bit nervous, watching the water reach Sean's thighs and chest. Just as she was about to yell for him to come back, she saw him suddenly sink!
"Ah––!"
Cheryl screamed, desperately trying to rush into the water, but Elijah Hastings hurried over from his patrol nearby and held her back:
"Don't be impulsive! Our boss is definitely fine. Don't panic!"
