"Alright, Elijah, that's enough. I think Douglas has learned his lesson." Sean spoke up, "Just be mindful in the future."
Hearing Sean's voice, Elijah knew the effect had kicked in and immediately said:
"So there you have it, Douglas. As the boss said, we'll put past matters behind us. If anything like this happens again, you're out!"
Douglas lifted his head, his face full of shame:
"Boss, Captain Hastings, I understand. I won't say much more, from now on you'll see my actions speak!"
Hearing him say this, Sean and Elijah both chuckled.
Seems legitimate enough.
And so, the matter was put to rest.
Sean continued:
"As for the bonus for this trip..."
"Boss, don't bring up the bonus, we wouldn't have the face to accept it." Elijah interrupted Sean's speech, "Where are we going next?"
Sean didn't mention where they were going when he woke the three of them up early to check out and leave.
