"Are you still sending money back?" Sean Knight asked.
"Yes." Elijah Hastings felt no need to hide anything, "Originally, I called upon some relatives and families. Now, there is only one or two people left, old and young, sick and schooling. I help as much as I can."
Sean Knight nodded and said,
"Once we're out of here, I'll contribute 100,000 dollars as a way to do my part."
Elijah Hastings didn't refuse. He never considered himself a saint; he couldn't afford to support those families on his own.
Though Sean Knight had a lot of money, Elijah had never thought of asking for his help.
Knowing how generous the boss was, Elijah couldn't bring himself to bring the topic up.
Now that Sean Knight offered it proactively, Elijah felt he should accept.
"I'm not a saint either." Sean Knight looked at his expression, and laughed, "I know, just lend a helping hand for now. Emergency relief, not long-term support."
