The python was three to four meters long and as thick as an adult's arm, soft and clearly dead.
Sean Knight and the others were shocked. This snake definitely wasn't killed by Septimius Coleman, it must have been the spider's doing.
It probably escaped before it had time to eat it.
Septimius Coleman rambled on for a bit, and Mila Ward, holding back her disgust, translated:
"He says the snake tastes good and is edible."
Sean Knight thought it was better not to eat it since the snakes in the jungle host more parasites than capybaras.
Better not to eat it.
Although everyone was tired and hungry, facing the bloody snake, with Septimius Coleman using the rather primitive barbecue cooking method, none of them had much appetite.
Lincoln Harrington went out again to find some firewood to add to the fire, and Elijah Hastings cleaned up the spiders in the circle.
Jason wore a sad expression:
