Old people are crafty, you can't trust them!
Hans left the bar, and Sean Knight approached the counter.
While wiping a wine glass, Mr. John asked:
"No deal?"
"No." Sean replied, twirling the bronze pen in his hand. "He said that if we find the treasure, he'll give me fifty percent. When I asked for a partial reward in advance, he said no."
"That Hans, always trying to get something for nothing! As usual! "Mr. John scoffed, "You did right, Sean, this tricky old man always pulls these stunts!"
"John, tell me more about Hans. I'm guessing he won't give up that easily."
Mr. John went over Hans' life story.
What he said wasn't much different from what Hans told. His mother was seriously ill, and his father was critically injured on a treasure hunt and died shortly after. His mother passed away later too.
Hans started to make a living from reselling goods. However, contrary to his claims, he didn't entirely devote himself to treasure hunting.
