On the big ship, Sean Knight stood on the deck with Penson Smith, looking at the distant sea surface.
"Mr. Smith, I suddenly have a question." Sean asked, "Has the murderer who killed your father been found out yet?"
"No." Penson shook his head with a complicated expression, "We've decided not to investigate any further."
Sean was a bit shocked:
"Not investigating anymore?"
"Yes." Stevenson's voice was a little low:
"Although I don't want to say it, actually, I think we're already friends, so there are some things that can be talked about. My father... was not a very good person."
Sean thought to himself that it was more than just being not good, he was a bad person.
"Given my father's personality and the fact that he became rich and arrogant, he has done many things to offend people. Sean, I believe you must have felt it too."
"Well... I have to say that working with your father was indeed not as enjoyable as working with you." Sean gave a somewhat vague answer.
