Sean didn't complain and ate heartily in front of Peter's subordinates.

Peter's subordinate sneered and left the wooden cabin to go to Peter's room.

"Is he eating?" Peter intended to make things difficult for Sean, so he sent the worst food.

"Yes, he ate very quickly," the subordinate reported, "No complaints."

"Hmph! It's the endurance of the Yellow Race indeed!" Peter felt disdain, "From now on, just give him this kind of food."

Charlie was Peter's trusted subordinate, always obedient and very loyal.

So with Charlie missing, Peter guessed that he probably had an accident.
