Andrew did not notice it because he was not using the eyes of Eros at the time, since it did not seem necessary to do so and that is why he did not notice that the old woman was lying, however, if they put the dots together they could have noticed it.
The elder Anka had said that Douma was the only man she had loved in her entire life, she had not even had another partner in her life of more than a millennium, so it was obvious that she still loved him, she just didn't want them to know.
