To their surprise, when Simi Yi and Sima Kai opened their eyes, they were greeted by the same figure cloaked in light.
"Kai, you see him too?" Yi asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
"Yeah, I definitely see him," Kai replied, equally stunned.
"Cough cough, how are you liking this world?" the cloaked figure asked sarcastically.
"Liking this world? F•ck you. The moment we arrived, we heard a soul-aching roar," Kai retorted.
"Well, that's payback for your brother cursing me," the figure said.
"Please, just send us back. We've learned our lesson," Kai pleaded, a hint of desperation in his voice.
"I can't do that. Your soul can't handle another transmigration," the figure explained.
"It's not like someone is waiting for us back there," Yi muttered, his voice tinged with sadness.
"Enough of this serious talk," the figure interrupted. "I've given you some information about this world. Now, you can do whatever you want here."
As the brothers tried to process this information, the environment around them suddenly changed, and they both fell unconscious.
Some hours later…
Sima Yi opened his eyes, feeling disoriented. "Where am I? Why is it so dark?"
As Yi looked around, he sighed in relief when he saw Kai unconscious on the floor.
"I should check the surroundings until Kai wakes up. I guess we're in a cave, judging by the low amount of light and the ores lying around," Yi thought to himself.
Just as Yi was inspecting the cave, Kai woke up.
"Hey brother, what are you doing?" Kai asked, looking at Yi's puzzled expression.
"Just checking the surroundings. You never know what can happen," Yi replied.
"Hey Kai, what do you think we should do now?" Yi asked, turning to his brother for guidance.
"Hmm… I think we should explore this cave. Who knows what we might find?" Kai suggested.
