After the talk with Seraphina, the day ended just like that. There were no complications, or fancy words exchanged; it was a straightforward negotiation.
"How was it?" Aliya inquired as she stood before me, her fiery red hair contrasting with her green eyes.
I offered her a small smile. "Just as we expected."
Aliya leaned against a nearby wall, her arms crossed, the soft fabric of her sleeve brushing against her skin. "So, Princess Jasmine used her favor?"
I shook my head. "Not likely. While I'm sure she desired the same outcome, Seraphina isn't the type to be swayed solely by favors. Also, this is important for Seraphina. Thus, I am sure they made a deal."
Aliya raised an eyebrow. "Then, you're really going to join the Student Council?"
I nodded in affirmation. "Yes, I am."
She sighed, her expression somewhat pouty, a hint of vulnerability that made her all the more alluring. "And that means you'll have less time to spend with me?"
