"I only tripped because you wouldn't stop talking." Valentin shot back at him.
"Out of the way, I'll get it." Alois stepped forward, unimpressed with their argument.
Everyone quietly watched him start up the tree and then promptly try to climb up a branch that was too weak to hold up his weight, the branch snapped but he managed to keep his balance.
"Come down before you hurt yourself." Louis immediately hounded him.
Alois glared at him and nearly lost his balance again. "I'm fine."
"I could have gotten it," Valentin grumbled, staring unhappily up at Alois' progress with his arms crossed.
"Like hell you could have," Louis fired back.
"Hey! Who's side are you on?" Valentin turned to him, hurt.
"The side that no one is tripping." Audie found a chance to slip into the quickly heating conversation, snickering as he did.
"I wasn't talking to you." Valentin said in a curt manner, aggravated.
