He knew she wasn't from this world; no one can make crops grow like that, they can use spells, or talismans to help with growing food but not by touch or maybe thought? Anyway, in this world no coven or clan could do it. He knew this but he wanted to know what explanation his woman was going to use to deceive him!
Jasmine had no explanation to give as she stood there frozen, trying to think of an explanation as to what she had just done… but she couldn't. What could she say huh? 'I was using my new found power to make the crops grow because I really want to eat the potatoes I found. I was impatient?'
As jasmine mulled over what she could say to explain herself, althander was watching her facial expressions and finding her more attractive he knew she had no idea what to say, to explain what he just witnessed so after what felt like a lifetime of silence, he decided to help her out.
"You are not from this world and have strange powers that are different for us? Is this what you are thinking of saying?"- Althander said straight forwardly. Jasmine who was still trying to think of what to say was stunned by him.
'He knows! He knows about me?! How?'- Jasmine thoughts were in a tizzy, as she thought she had hid herself relatively well from him.
Completely forgetting that first of all, her clothes she was wearing, was definitely not of this world. Although they looked similar, such as the trousers and tops, the males normally wore them.
Females wore long sleeved dresses either knee length with under trousers that looked like leggings or tunic styled dresses that flowed down to the ankles or knees, depending on if they were battle proficient or not, with under trousers.
No female wore the type of clothes she did, and they fit her too perfectly to be someone else's, he thought. (He may have stared at her a bit too much!) but she didn't seem to notice she was indeed too conspicuous, in all the times they were together, which had been about 3 months.
Even the way she spoke baffled him sometimes, the language or words she would use was different, there were sometimes terms she used that he didn't understand and would have to ask her to explain what she meant, but he never brough up to her why she spoke like that.
Honestly, he was quite amused now, with her current reaction, it was almost like she genuinely thought she had fooled him all this time.
Jasmine, who althander though was amusing, was still shocked he had found out she was not from this world and was terrified, she had thought that she had managed to hide herself well, she knew she slipped up sometimes, but she thought she covered up well. But it turned out she hadn't, and he knew.
"Am I going to die now? Will I be seen as a monster?"- jasmine thought out loud. Althander who had been waiting for her reaction, was shocked by wat she had said. He rushed to her as fast as he could and hugged her.
"No! what nonsense are to talking about? You are not going to die; you are not a monster. People here have powers too… It's just a bit different from what you can do. I wont let anyone hurt you." He sated as he hugged her tightly. He was anxious when her heard her ask if she was going to die. That tough scared him, he would never let that happen.
As they both calmed down, they finally had the long-awaited chat that had been months in the making, three months they had been working together on this deserted land, Jasmine finding unexpected treasures wherever she went, finding many crops of various varieties and then having the both of them plant them nearby for easy access.
