Queen Safira stood tall and regal, her eyes locking onto Prince Damian. "I'll make sure your future shines bright," she proclaimed before stepping into the obsidian round gate.
As the gate closed behind her, she was enveloped in a vortex of warping light and a strong suction force. Minutes passed before Queen Safira emerged into an open field, the obsidian round gate once again in front of her.
This was the Universal Gate, a portal to lower realms. To travel, one simply had to feed their energy into the gate, recite the correct incantation for their desired destination, and then step through. The gate would then scan their soul and apply the rules to each individual.
Her troops and young clan members were waiting for her arrival, some of the younger ones pale and nauseous, others unconscious. Drac merely chuckled and made light of the situation, even offering food to one of the pale-faced youths, causing them to retch at the thought of eating.
Kiron observed the situation with a critical eye, thoughts of "I told them not to eat" running through his mind. Fenris, on the other hand, tried to soothe the nauseous individuals, telling them that they would get used to it eventually.
Drac approached Queen Safira, who had just arrived, with a grin on his face.
"Are you playing mind games with the little ones again?" she asked, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "That's not very nice, Drac. Not everyone can handle it."
Drac shrugged nonchalantly. "No, not me. I swear I was just telling them that it gets better over time. Are you okay, dear?" he said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Queen Safira let out a sigh, a single tear rolling down her cheek. "I've had better days," she said, trying to play it off with a joke. "You should learn to lie better too, Drac."
"What? Me? Lie? I'm too humble to lie," he said with a chuckle. "Do you want to vent, dear? You know I don't mind taking a few punches."
Drac hold Queen Safira: " Are you alright? he's gonna be good he's a strong kid and has a passionate heart"
Queen Safira hunches over and takes a deep breath:" Truth then…' sigh'…no Drac I'm not that hurt more than a sword in my body…but I need to find answers with solutions for him, that's the only thing motivating me to move forward right now, so let's go "
Drac nods understandingly. "Let's give the kids a rest, Safira. I don't think they're up for moving, let alone flying."
Queen Safira agrees. "We'll set up a temporary camp. I'll scout the area, and make sure it's safe. And vent, as you said."
With a fierce determination in her eyes, Queen Safira takes off in a burst of speed, creating a sonic boom as she disappears into the distance.
As she patrols the area, Queen Safira stumbles upon three beasts hiding in fear.
They had spotted the Dragon Queen and quickly went into hiding, not wanting to face her wrath. But Queen Safira was relentless in her search and found them. In a fit of rage, she killed all three beasts, who were of the Predator Rank and no match for the powerful Queen.
Returning to the camp, Queen Safira heads to the nearby water source to clean up, a little bloodied from her encounter.
Drac, approached Queen Safira with a stern look on his face. "I take it you found some scavengers. You didn't have to kill them, they wouldn't have come after seeing you."
Queen Safira shrugged. "I needed to release some anger to feel better. Plus, they were low-level Centaurs. None were from a God Beast clan, so no foul, no worry. They won't care."
Drac sighed. "Alright, well the young ones are feeling better. Some of the ones who fainted have awoken. They say they're good to head home. Should we leave?"
She nodded and Drac yelled, "EVERYONE PACK UP. LET'S GO HOME!"
The group packed up and flew towards their home planet, Planet Lavinia. It took them a week of flying to finally arrive at their destination.
Planet Lavinia is a massive planet, about 300,000 km in size. It has 21 moons and revolved around two stars, one blue and one white. The blue star was bigger, but the white star was hotter.
Their magnetic energy created an infinity-shaped fire rotating around the planet. It was filled with all kinds of terrain, but Queen Safira's castle resided in a massive mountain range. Half the city was outside, while the main city was inside a mountain that was 25,000 km high. The Queen's castle goes from the back middle to the top, where she has a massive garden.
The Queen Safira Castle stood tall and proud, its walls gleaming white in the sun. It was a marvel of dragon architecture, crafted entirely of rare Adimite, and boasted hundreds of rooms fit for the mightiest of dragon clans.
The castle's pool, bigger than any lake, was already the talk of the land for its grandeur, and the huge training room and library were the pride of the entire kingdom.
The clan members cheered and clapped as their beloved Queen Safira returned from her journey, accompanied by the wise Drac and the formidable Fenris. The citizens of the city, who had waited anxiously for their arrival, gathered in the square to welcome them home. Children, partners, and lovers embraced each other in joyous reunions, tears streaming down their faces.
Queen Safira, Drac, and Fenris stood on the platform, watching the reunions with warmth in their hearts.
The Queen spoke, her voice ringing out across the square. "The children did wonderfully, go find them," she said, and the dragon parents, partners, and lovers all called out their names, searching for their loved ones.
It was a scene of pure joy and happiness, and soon, everyone was back with their families. The Queen smiled, and as the reunions ended, she spoke again. "Good job, everyone. Rest for a few days, but don't slack off on your training," she said, and the dragons promised not to disappoint her.
As the families started to leave, the Queen noticed two children who were orphaned from the start and had nowhere to go. So she took them under her wing and brought them back to the castle, where they would stay under her care.
The Queen turned to leave, and as she did, she heard the dragons' praises and vows to continue their training and strive to become stronger. And with that, the Majestic Queen Safira, Drac, and Fenris retired to their home, ready to continue their reign of excellence over the dragon kingdom.
Queen Safira, the ruler of the kingdom, graces her presence at the massive 40m tall adimite main gate. With a flick of her wrist, the door opens, and she steps into the castle.
As she strides in, her top servant, Butler Xonim, rushes to her, bowing in greeting.
Butler Xonim: "Your Majesty, it is an honour to have you back. How may I serve you?"
Queen Safira: "Butler Xonim, it's good to see you. I need another dimensional storage ring of the same style as the one I gave away. Pay any price to the Asura Beast if needed."
Butler Xonim: "Of course, Your Majesty. Is there anything else?"
Queen Safira: "Yes, I need all the books on hexes and curses and any race that match this description," she says, handing him a piece of paper. "And please, place it all on my desk in the library."
Butler Xonim: "Very well, Your Majesty. But might I suggest, there is someone who has more knowledge on the subject."
From the shadows, the voice of Drac chimes in.
Drac: "I told you."
Queen Safira grins wickedly. "I know. But I think I'll pay him a surprise visit. He loves that," she says with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Drac: "Are you sure about this, Your Majesty? You know he's always meditating and hates it when you arrive without warning."
Queen Safira: "He needs to get up from his lazy shell. I need answers fast, and I'm not waiting three weeks for an official invitation."
Drac: "It's not that slow, and you know it. Fine, do it your way. I'll come with you." Fenris chimes in, "Me too, please."
Queen Safira: "Okay, I'll let you know when I leave. Butler Xonim, please just get that storage ring for me."
Butler Xonim bows and quickly rushes off to complete his task.
Queen Safira turns to Drac and Fenris. "I'm going to take a bath and then head to the library. What about you, Drac?"
Drac ponders for a moment. "I'll reach out to an old war friend who fought demons. He might know something."
Queen Safira nods. "That would be wonderful. Thank you, Drac. I hope he brings some news that can help."
Drac bows. "Me too, Your Majesty. I'll see you soon." He then leaves.
Queen Safira and Fenris head up to her royal suite to take a bath.
Later, Drac arrives at his friend's house. He knocks on the door.
"Who is it?"
"Etoirir, it's me, Drac."
The door opens and Etoirir greets Drac warmly. "Drac, my old friend! Come, come in please."Drac's feet echoed throughout the hall as he enters Etoirir's abode.
The door slams shut and Etoirir greets his old friend with a warm smile.
"Hey there, how have you been?" Etoirir asks.
"Good, just been busy. How about you?" Drac replies.
"Can't complain, the ladies keep me entertained," Etoirir says, a sheepish grin on his face. "Sorry about that, didn't mean to distract you."
"It's fine, as long as they treat you well," Drac says with a chuckle.
"Would you like something to drink or eat?" Etoirir asks his hospitality on full display.
"Do you have the Dragon Burner?" Drac asks, his eyes lighting up at the thought of the fiery brew.
"Of course!" Etoirir rushes off, returning with two glasses shaped like dragon scales.
As he poured the drink into a glass shaped like dragon scales, Drac couldn't help but admire the bright orange liquid with green balls floating inside.
"Too bad Queen Safira doesn't allow this in her castle," he commented.
Etoirir's eyes widened in surprise. "Seriously? Man, we should get out of here. We could go on adventures again."
The two started drinking their drinks slowly.
"Nah, I'm too old for that now," Drac replied. "And I'm sure you just want to chase after princesses like usual."
Etoirir laughed and smacked his leg. "Who's the one who's slept with more princesses? I can't believe you! Plus, it was... damn, I did it again. I miss her so much."
Drac looked at his glass before taking a sip. "I miss them every day. Can't believe it's been thousands of years already."
"Brother, if you want, we can still hunt those two down and kill them. I'll follow you to the grave," Etoirir offered.
Drac clinked his glass with Etoirir's. "Thanks, it means a lot to me. But those two have too much... collateral damage, disposal bodies, slaves..."
"yeah, yeah. Come on, Drac, we could kill them altogether.", Etoirir butts in
Drac leaned back in his chair and looked up at the roof. "All I want is revenge, Etoirir. You have no idea. I want to watch them die at my hands."
With a loud 'Craaaak! Shatter!', the glass in Drac's hand broke as his anger boiled over.
Etoirir panicked. "Drac... fuck it... let me go get something for this."
"I'm sorry, Etoirir. I didn't mean to," Drac said, but Etoirir cut him off.
"What? Drac, seriously, you have every right to... you're my friend, my brother. Don't stress," Etoirir comforted him.
Etoirir eventually came back with cleaning supplies and poured another drink.
"So, Drac, I'm sure you didn't come here just to see an old friend or reminisce. How can I help you?" Etoirir asked.
Drac sighed. "I'm sorry again, friend. I feel terrible."
Etoirir laughed. "Hahaha, Drac, don't worry about it. Come on, tell me what's going on."
Drac took a deep breath and explained what had happened in the Emmortal Milky Lane. He showed Etoirir the Damian soul scan results, hoping his old friend could shed some light on the situation.
"Fuck, Drac," Etoirir muttered, his face pale. "That poor child. I'm speechless."
Drac and Etoirir drank in silence for a moment. "I was hoping you might have some insight into hexes," Drac finally said.
Etoirir shook his head. "I have fucked some demons, but none with hex powers. Only curses. A curse can be broken by anyone, but a hex... there's no chance."
"Wait...I do remember one demon mentioning something," Etoirir said. "Only a few demons have hexes, the main one being...uhmm...fuck it's that major high horse king..."
"Satan?" Drac asked, his eyes lighting up with hope.
"Yes, Drac, he's the strongest when it comes to hexes from demons. Otherwise, the God or, you know, the last ones," Etoirir replied.
Drac stood up, put his empty glass down and thanked his friend for the information. "You have been so much help, I need to visit you more...why don't you come to the castle?" he offered.
Etoirir also stood up, laughing. "Hahaha, you jest and give up on this beauty," he said, lifting the bottle. "Not a chance...but if you ever want to wreak havoc, let's do it."
"I thought as much...I'll let you know," Drac replied with a smile. The two friends hugged before Drac headed to the castle.
Drac made his way to the library, where Butler Xonim was collecting all the books. Deciding not to disturb the busy butler, Drac sat down and pondered his next steps.
Drac walked into the castle library, where Queen Safira and Butler Xonim were waiting for him. "Any luck, Drac?" the queen asked.
Drac shook his head. "Sorry, Safira, he gave me some insight, saying only a few demons have hexes, the strongest being Satan. Otherwise, nothing else," he replied.
"Darn. Alright, Drac, no problem," Safira said with a sigh. "How's the burn?" she asked with a mischievous glint in her eye.
Drac shot her a worried look as she stared at him. But she quickly reassured him. "Hehehe, calm down, Drac, you didn't break any of my rules. Plus, a drink with an old friend isn't wrong," she said with a chuckle.
Drac relaxed, letting out a laugh. "It was good but not as great as it use to be plus it burns more. Guess I am getting old now," he said, smiling.
Safira touched his shoulder. "Only because you allowed it, fruit," she said, giving him a playful nudge.
Butler Xonim bowed. "Your Majesty, I have located all the books we have," he said.
"Thank you, Xonim," Safira replied. "Well, time to read," she said, standing up and grabbing a book.
Drac and Xonim followed suit, each grabbing a book of their own. The three of them sat down and began to read, searching for any information that could lead them to the elusive hex they sought.
