As the first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon, the members of Queen Safira's clan began to stir. They quickly ate breakfast and set off to the travel bridges in Queen Safira's royal chariot, with even the King and Queen joining in to see them off.
An: "Safira's clan can fly through space with no problem. That's how they arrived at the planet, and why no one knew they were there, even the Royals. She's worried the boy can't reason for using the gate."
As they arrived at the massive tall building, the doors were opened for them, as the universal travel bureau had been informed of the arrival of VIP guests. Everyone greeted the Queen with "Welcome, Your Majesty!" as they all bowed down on one leg.
"Thank you all very much," Queen Safira said. "Who's in charge here?" A man and woman stepped forward, "We are, Your Majesty," they spoke in unison.
"Greetings, could you lead the way please?" Queen Safira asked.
"Of course Your Majesty". Then they turned around, proceeded to walk in front of her and headed towards the gate. They informed her that the gate would open in 15 minutes at the main travel hub and someone would be waiting for her arrival.
"Thank you all so much for all your help," Queen Safira said as the King and Queen bowed and the others followed suit, saying it was a pleasure.
The male officer explained how the bridge formations worked and how they were powered by a star with an artificial facility around it. But then, the female officer said something that even shocked Queen Safira.
"It's a shame those huge new starships are going to take over main transportation soon," the female officer said.
"Sorry, what now? What is a starship?" Queen Safira asked, not knowing something about the Emmortsl Universe.
King Aroc smiled, "Queen Safira, it seems you've been away for some time. A major peace faction is forming and they've jumped into technology advancement. They've designed these massive space-travelling ships."
Fenris, practically jumping with joy, asked, "No way, really? What's it like? Do they go fast? How much are they? Wait, where can we get them?"
Everyone looked at Fenris with surprise. The female officer replied, "Currently, the wizards only have them, but they're introducing them to royalty. I don't know much about them, but we might be changing jobs."
Queen Safira said, "The wizards? No way. Who would have thought they would help?"
King Aroc laughed, "Hahaa, I know right? The new Queen is very powerful and lots of races respect her. We're talking right now about joining the peace alliance."
"Seriously a Queen, another shocker," Queen Safira muttered to herself as she touched her face, deep in thought about how much has actually changed.
"You are in for a real treat then when you get to your destination, Your Majesty," said a male officer, a hint of excitement in his voice.
Fenris got really curious about what he just said, looked at the officer with a questioning expression. "Why's that King Aroc?"
Queen Lily, who decided she wanted to spill some juicy information, chimed in. "They joined the alliance a while back. You shall see. Apparently, the planet is very prosperous."
Queen Safira's interest was piqued. "Now I'm interested in seeing my old friends. Maybe they have changed a bit. Thank you all and enjoy your peace talks. I hope they go well," she said before they all made their way to the main gate.
As they waited, they chatted among themselves. Suddenly, a blinding red light appeared and the formation lit up. Runes started floating around the gate before it turned green, signalling that it was safe to pass through.
Queen Safira turned to her entourage. "Thank you all. I hope to see you again. Goodbye," she said before they all walked through the gate. She held the boy really close so he didn't get scared.
As they emerged on the other side, a male officer greeted them with a bow. "Your Majesty, what an honour it is to have you here."
Queen Safira looked around at the grand hallways. "Thank you very much. Are you going to guide me to the gate that leads to Planet Asclepiu?" she asked.
The officer nodded. "Right this way. At least you don't have to wait for it to open since it's already active," he said before they made their way through the bustling crowd and arrived at the gate to Planet Asclepiu.
Queen Safira thanked the officer before walking through the gate.
As she emerged from the building, she was stunned at what she saw. "Finally made it... did we make it? This looks different," she said, taking in the massive buildings and the diverse crowd of races mingling together. It was a far cry from the war-torn planet she remembered.
Fenris and Safira stood at the gate, gazing in awe at the towering buildings and advanced technology that surrounded them. As the Queen of Dragons, Safira commanded respect and attention from all the ones around her, and they respectfully bowed and walked past as they made their way towards their destination.
As they walked, a sudden downpour began, but the Royal guards quickly covered them with energy umbrellas. Fenris looked up, but Safira was already focused on their next move.
"Safira, do you know where we need to go? So much has changed since the last time you were here," Fenris asked.
"Not a clue," Safira replied. "Knowing them, they have a protective barrier on as well to hide. They aren't the Royals of this planet, so we can't go to the palace. They choose the forests instead for a home. That's the problem, they move. Give me a second."
With that, Safira activated her Soul Scan. For Emmortal beings, a Soul Scan can reach a distance of 5-15km, depending on their rank. But as the Queen of Dragons and a God Beast, Safira could scan the entire planet with ease in seconds.
As Safira scanned the planet, all the inhabitants felt a tinge of fear run down their spines. They knew that the one that was scanning them was far too powerful for them to resist, so they tried to blend in, hoping that it was not an evil force on the planet.
Safira smiled. "Found you, my green forest friends," she giggled. "Everyone, get ready to fly. Kiron, please can you carry Fenris while I hold and carry the boy?"
Kiron nodded his head and approached Fenris. "Young Fenris, how would you like me to carry you?"
Fenris blushed and turned her head to Safira before softly replying, "As a princess, please."
Kiron nodded and lifted Fenris into a princess carry. "Is this comfortable Fenris?" he asked acting like a true gentleman.
As Fenris nestled herself in Kiron's embrace, Safira couldn't help but giggle and smile. With a loud and commanding voice, she shouted, "Everyone more out the way for us to take off into the sky, otherwise don't blame us if you fall on your ass and get wet." With that, she extended her wings and so did her clan members.
The crowd quickly scattered, not wanting to offend the Queen of Dragons or get wet. In a matter of seconds, a large circle was formed around Safira and her clan.
Safira looked back at her clan and nodded before taking off with a loud sonic boom. The sound echoed throughout the area, leaving everyone's ears ringing and their minds in a daze.
After a few minutes, the crowd finally came to their senses and resumed their activities.
Kiron, still holding Fenris, spoke into her ear, "Sheesh, how fast is she? Your Majesty, please slow down ". He tries to catch up to her
Fenris shakes her head, "She won't, Kiron. This is fun for her."
"Catch up, slow pokes. You're trailing behind," Safira shouted before breaking the sound barrier once again, making sure to put a barrier around the boy to protect him from the effects.
"Your Majesty, please. We don't know where to go," Kiron begged once more.
Queen Safira fell back to their distance, "That way is a forest. Meet you there," she said, pointing before disappearing with another loud 'BANG.'
"I told you she wouldn't. You're just going to have to catch up. And you need to slow down. Your squadmates and the royal guards are small bugs in my eyes," she quickly tells him, not being able to see them.
Then Fenris couldn't contain her laughter as Kiron panicked, "Bugs, where are their bugs? Get them off!"
Fenris chuckled, "Hahahaha, no Kiron, bugs really!!!"
Kiron rolled his eyes, "Keep it a secret, alright? It's embarrassing." He slowed down enough for his team and the royal guards to catch up.
Fenris nodded, making him feel better. Kiron then announced, "The Queen is waiting ahead in a forest section. Let's catch up." And with that, they all tried to speed up to catch up to Queen Safira, who was probably waiting for them already.
