Chapter 6 - Pit Stop...

2 days later...

The clan of Emmortal were making their way home, their spirits high after a successful training session with the young ones. But little did they know, disaster was looming just around the corner.

As they approached the main city, the loud sounds of battle filled the air. Suddenly, a group of 13 bandits appeared, attacking their chariot with fierce determination. The elders of the clan quickly sprang into action, using their powers to fend off the masked bandits and protect the young ones inside the chariot.

The kids in the chariot were hiding behind the elders, terrorized and shrieking every time an onslaught sounded off. The clan elders, outnumbered and outmatched, fought for their lives with all their might. They had already lost two guards to flame arrows, and the bandits seemed to be a combination of various races from the planet or even other planets.

The elders were at a disadvantage, as their main power was water, which was ineffective against the bandits' fire-based powers in this desert climate. They were forced to use weapons mixed with a little water, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide of the battle. The majority of the bandits were using fire, with only a few using air or poison powers.

'Swoosh, Splat, Ahhh', a bandit fired an arrow, striking one of the elders in the shoulder. The arrow was covered in fire and made from a metal called Phromium.

AN:" Phromium is a metal only found in the Emmortal Milky Lane, more information late"

"Kill him already!", one of the bandits shouted.

A curved blade swings towards the injured elder's throat, but another elder jumps forward, parrying the attack with his sword and slicing the bandit's hand off.

'Splat, Thud ', the bandit tried to retreat, but the injured elder pulled out a small blade and plunged it into the man's throat, green blood spilling everywhere. He picked up his weapon and continued to fight since his life depended on it.

For another 12 minutes, the battle raged on, the fate of the clan hanging in the balance...

Then the bandits start backing up, their movements slow and cautious but not unnoticed. The elders couldn't understand why they were retreating, but they soon found out. Suddenly, a giant beast with a single horn appeared out of nowhere and charged towards them.

The elders were in a bind, they knew that if they moved the chariot with the kids inside, it would be hit and the children would be hurt. And if they stayed put, they would be collateral damage.

Trepidation and daze washed over them. Two of the elders jumped out of the way, while the other four tried to shield the chariot with water shields. But they knew deep down that they were useless, as they were already drained.

'Kaboom…craaaack..snap…splat'

A massive explosion echoed through the air as the beast imploded from a blinding light. Most of the elders couldn't see what had happened.

One of the elders who had jumped out of the way shouted, "White lighting...how it is a sunny day?" The others couldn't hear anything, as everyone's ears were ringing like crazy. Three elders were completely vision-less as well.

The bandits weren't any better off. One of them was burnt and hollering in pain, while the others were rolling on the ground or trying to regain their senses.

Blood and dust filled the air, along with sparks, as the beast tried to move, injured.

Suddenly, there was a rapid movement in front of them. The earth started shaking and a gigantic dust cloud kicked up, filled with blood, guts and flesh. Everyone was flung back onto their asses or backs. One elder even hit the chariot, winding him.

Everyone started coughing and waving their hands in front of their faces, trying to catch a glimpse of what had occurred and what had caused all of this.

After a few minutes, the dust settled, revealing a woman standing in the remains of the beast's bones and flesh. She has three horns, a white outfit, wings and a tail. Her face is so attractive, but right now it was twisted into a vicious and enraged expression that sent shivers down everyone's spine.

This was none other than Queen Safira, and she was beyond furious. She glared at them with a dangerous glint in her eyes.

A few minutes earlier...

The elder in the chariot attempted to console the children, "Children, I need you to be strong, alright? Come, let's go out the side and run for the main city or aid. Please follow me," he opened the door and helped the kids out of the chariot.

"Sir, look over there! A chariot is coming in the distance," one of the kids pointed and said to the elder.

The elder, who was unloading a child, turned around and looked. He couldn't believe it, the child was right - there was a chariot moving towards them. "Mira, nice spot. Alright, children, quickly get back in, then I'll sprint to go ask them for help," he then runs off.

But before he departs for good, he turns to speak.

"Children, be courageous for me. Hopefully, they have guards or are another clan that might help us. But if something happens to me, I want you to run that way, okay? Run as quick as you can, don't leave anyone behind," he pointed at the main city and then looked at the children.

The kids all nodded their heads at him before slowly climbing back into the chariot.

The elder then turns and runs as fast as he can, like his life doesn't matter but the kids do. So he will exhaust himself to death if he can get help.

As he approached the chariot, his back hair stood on edge as he noticed the symbol on the door was clad in gold, meaning a very wealthy family but also meaning lots of guards as well.

So the elder began to shout, "HELP! HELP US PLEASE! HELP!" He completely froze as he finally recognized the symbol of the car. He, of course, was told about it in his clan.

"Halt! Stop right there! Who are you?" The guards stood up and unsheathed their weapons at the water goblin.

The elder dropped to his knees, shaking in fear and too weak to stand any longer from running. "P..p.pppp.please hhhhelp myyy my clan", the elder trembling so much and started wetting himself from pure fear, thinking what is his luck a God Beast.

The guards saw this and quickly jumped down and sheathed their weapons. The guard said, "It's okay, what's wrong? Explain, we won't hurt you if you need help."

The elder bowed his head down and finally mustered the courage to speak, "We are at your mercy please, bandits attacked our chariot well coming home from the beast forest, and the children are in danger..."

Before the elder can finish, a white figure leapt from the chariot and headed in the direction of where the man came from. He looked back but saw nothing, it was that fast.

The guard walked to the man and handed him some water because he was breathing heavily.

"Don't worry, our Queen went to go help. She will protect the children now. Come, let's get you cleaned up and go there." They both picked him up because he was still shaking and leapt to the roof of the chariot, then proceeded forward to the location of the fight when the elder was cleaned up.

Back at the attack location, Queen Safira stood tall without her robe, her dragon clan symbol on full display on her platinum-finished kimono.

The bandits, who were once frozen in fear, now stared at her in shock. They knew that this symbol meant she's from the Alarie Dragon God Clan which is not good.

These weren't just any ordinary bandits. Unlike most other bandit factions, these outcasts had been kicked out of their clans or guilds because they broke the rules. They were educated and knew that the symbol on Safira's kimono meant that they were in serious trouble.

Queen Safira glared at the bandits, who were still shaking in fear. "What, never faced an individual of my calibre before? You always thought you were at the top of the food chain, but the first mistake of fighting idiots is to always know that someone out there is stronger than you. Whether it's power, skills, or combat, never look down on others."

She uses her soul detection to check on the children and the elders in the chariot. The protective barrier on the chariot was nothing to her as she scanned the inside.

The elders were hurt, but nothing serious. A few days of rest would help. At the same moment, her chariot arrived with Fenris and the boy staring out the window.

The bandits didn't know what to do or say to her. They were completely silent, while others groaned in pain and tried to regain their senses.

"What the fuck are you all staring at?" one bandit finally said as he regained his vision.

Another bandit pointed behind him and when he turned around to look in the direction of the bandit's hand, he shat himself and fell to his knees in fear.

The elders on the floor rushed together and looked in amazement. They never thought they would see a God Beast or even receive help from one in their lifetime. They checked their wounds but didn't want to miss the fight that was about to happen, as a fight with a God Beast was extremely rare.

Inside the chariot, the kids were in awe. "Quick, come look! It's a God Beast! She's come to save us!" one of the older kids exclaimed. Some of the other kids came to look, while others stayed away in fear and shaking.

"Wow, a God Beast! No way!" "She's so beautiful!" "What is she? A real-life dragon!" "Look at those wings!" "What's a God Beast?" "They are so dead for sure!" "Serves them right!" the kids fired off questions, compliments, and one-liners.

One little girl, Mira, asked, "Is she here to save us? Please tell me she is and won't hurt us as well."

A boy spoke up, "I hear the dragons are the most powerful. She might eat us."

Another boy quickly spoke up to reassure her, "Shut up, you idiot. Mira, I'm sure she isn't going to hurt us. Look, she killed that beast and is only watching the bandits with hatred."

A boy spoke up, "Shh, shh, she's saying something." The kids all got closer to the window to hear. Mira also watched, but she was still scared.

Queen Safira let out a sigh. "Shit, just my luck."
