Chapter 65 - Chapter 65 : Memory Dive (Part 4)

On the road from school Jason was punched in the Han and after falling to the ground was kicked in the stomach. Hans was still furious about Jason making him look bad in front of the entire class.

"You think yourself superior to me, this is my class and my school got that," Han asked as he walked away.

Jason felt around for his glasses and put it back on his face. Watching him get beat up fenrir and the others were furious.

"That guy, I want to kill that guy!" Fenrir fumed.

"This is only the past," Blossom explained.

Once again they followed him home from school. He stopped by the living room and looked at his sister who is now 23 years old. She was sitting on the sofa talking on her phone while watching TV. Rosario eyes caught something on the TV and she stopped to watch.

Rosario watched as she saw all the bodies being carried away, buildings burning and police trying to help the traumatised civilians.

"This can't be, how could a world like this still be filled with the death of innocent people," She shuddered.

"You still think you humans are peaceful aren't you?" Fenrir uttered with a smirk, then she folded her arms.

"This world may look peaceful but it's far more worst than ours, Pollution, Murder, Diseases, Military and Political wars and in all of that millions of innocent lives are killed every years. As humanity keeps evolving their desires evolve as well and for those desires they do anything," Blossom explained.

"But can't they work together to stop all this?" Rosario queried.

"Urgh, you're a broken record, all you humans know is greed and lust. Do you know why humans despise monsters, it's because we hold the power to evolve? You don't because of that you envy us and turn violence against us," Fenrir fumed.

"You're lying, The monsters are the ones who are the menaces, how many innocent people have you killed and devoured? What did you kindly think when you were wearing my family alive," Rosario asked with anger in her voice.

"Rosario, how much do you know about your parents murder?" Blossom asked.

"My entire village was attacked and killed by a trolls, I saw it all, I saw my parent's being eaten alive right in front of me."

Rosario clenched her fist remembering that tragic day. Blossom walked up to her and placed her hand on Rosario's shoulder.

"Rosario I'm sorry to inform you but the ones that killed your parents it was the king who ordered it," Blossom confessed.

"What?!...That can't be true! You're lying in!"

"See for yourself."

Blossom touched Rosario's head and suddenly memories started to flow into her mind. That night after Rosario drew Excalibur her village was attacked by knights of the Kingdom. The king was there watching the massacre of the villagers and their houses burned down. The knights bursted into Rosario's house and her parents rushed to protect her but were cut down. As a little girl Rosario was frightened and couldn't do anything. All she could do is sit in the corner and look at the face of agony in her parents.

Rosario was then taken from there and straight to the church where the Pope altered her memories to suit there needs. They trained her to become the perfect paladin until they come up with a plan that would change her life forever. The church ordered a village to be destroyed by tamed trolls and made it look like her parents were killed by monsters. Rosario fell to her knees after remembering everything that happened.

"The church planned everything, they made it so that you would direct your anger toward monsters," Blossom explained.

"In other words, she was trained to be a monster killing machine," Fenrir said.

"It's a lie, it can't be."

"It can be, that's all you have to say?"

Fenrir grabbed Rosario around her neck. "You were so focused on the monster being your enemy, never knowing you've been kneeling before your real enemy all along. You're a paladin and always talking about protecting the innocent then what about all of the innocent monsters you've killed? What were you thinking when you hear them pissing themselves begging you for their lives," She then pushed Rosario on the ground. "Damn lowlife human bitch."

Fenrir turned and walked away, the others followed behind her leaving Rosario to process what's happening to her. Stephania went up to Jason's room and knocked on the door.

"Hey dweeb, mom's working late tonight so it's your turn to make dinner you hear me!"

Jason was inside his room dressing his wounds and bruises he got after Han beat him up.

"Yeah I heard you."

"Good, I'm going out, I'll be back by 10."

After Stephania left Jason headed to the kitchen, washed his hand under the sink and put on an apron. He is good at chopping up the vegetables, neatly slicing the meat and stir frying with the skills of a professional chef.

"I didn't know my dearly beloved could cook?" Mero asked in shocked.

To her the others didn't know either. Jason turned and walked straight towards Pressila. He reached out his hand towards her breast and this made Pressila blushed intensely. His hand went right through her body and opened the door of the fridge and took out a dish with meatballs. He opened the lid and sniffed it twice.

"This should do."

After 2 hours dinner was ready and Jason laid it all on the table. They all looked at the different dishes layed on the table.

"These looks delicious," Mero said.

"We have to get Lucifer to cook for us," Fenrir said with a smile.

Soon Rosario walked in the room with a sad expression on her face. They all turned and looked at her as she walked closer.

"I know words will be meaningless at this time but I'm sorry for what I have done to you and to all the monsters I've mercilessly butchered. I thought I was doing the right thing, I thought I was bringing peace to this world by killing the monsters but I was wrong and for that I'm sorry," Rosario said.

"Tch! Do you think mere world's will be enough to prove anything?" Fenrir queried in a harried voice.

"You're right words won't be enough."

Rosario became even more depressed until Mero went over to her hand held her hands.

"Lift your head Lady Duchriet, I'm sure that one day we can look past our differences and work together," Mero said with a smile on her face.

"Yes, I'll try my best to fight for such a future," Rosario said.

The door opened and Mr Yeager walked in. She was dressed in office attire.

"Oh, something smells delicious."

She walked into the kitchen and gave Jason a hug.

"Even after 8 years mother-in-law still look as young as ever," Lelania said.

"How is my sweet and precious little boy?"

"Mom, will you stop calling me that I'm not a kid anymore?"

"No matter how old you grow your still my little boy.. Ugh what happened to your face?"

Mr Yeager as she noticed the band-aid on his face.

"Oh, I accidentally tripped and fell down," Jason lied while looking away from his mother. "Don't worry about it mom, why don't we sit down and eat dinner," He said with a fake smile.

The next day Jason walked down the road towards school playing games on his PSP. He stopped when he saw a group of bullies picking on a boy but Jason kept on walking. Soon he reached into school where he was noticed a girl stepping out of a Mercedes-Benz. Her long blond hair fluttered in the wind and her red gemlike eyes that could see all. Her beauty captivated everyone around her including Jason. He was so distracted by her that he forgot he was playing his game.

"Who is she?" Pressila wondered.

"That's Master's First love," Blossom explained.

Then Fenrir, Eve, Lelania and Mero got angry and leaked out their murderous intent.

"So she's the one!" Lelania muttered.

'What's going on, why did the air change up all of a sudden?'

Rosario ask herself.
