The air was cold and the moon was shining brightly in the sky. Lucifer and Fenrir run through the forest leaping from tree to tree like ninja.
" How long before we get to the big tree ? "Fenrir asked.
Lucifer didn't answer her immediately. He used his 「Magic Perception 」to look as far as he could.
- The distance is far that my magic perception can't see it all -
" I would estimate a couple of hours " He responded.
" What ?"
Fenrir landed on one of the branches to take a break and lucifer lands on one the branches before turning to Fenrir.
" What do you think you're doing? " Lucifer asks.
" Let's take a short break, we still have 8 hours of daylight remaining. "
" Well I'm not stopping for nothing, If you want to take a break then go ahead but I'm not waiting for you "
Lucifer leaped off into the trees once again. Fenrir watches him jumping away from her and she rubs her head thinking on what she should do until she decides.
" Lucifer, wait up ! "
She went after him.
The two continue to travel under the shadows of moonlight. Suddenly out of nowhere an arrow came out of nowhere and grazed Lucifer's cheek. He was surprised because he didn't see the attack coming. Lucifer landed on the ground and took out his guns and the wound on his cheek healed instantly.
" Lucifer "
Fenrir went down after him and was surprised to see over a hundred Lucifer's standing there looking at her.
" What's going on? Don't tell me these are Pranksters ?"She asked.
All of the Lucifer's look around at each other. All of them have their eyes closed like the original Lucifer. All of the Lucifers take out their guns and point at the other Lucifers. Fenrir couldn't differentiate between them because all of them were giving off the same aura as the real Lucifer.
- The original has to be in there somewhere -
Fenrir asked herself in thought and then she got a great ideas.
" Yo Lucifer, I have something I would like all of you to do. Wanna know what it is "
All of the Lucifers hold their hands and look away.
""" As if I'll do anything for you """ They all said.
" Oh it's something easy, I want all of you eat me " Fenrir said.
All of the Lucifers were surprised when they heard Fenrir make such a request. She started to fondle her large breast with a sadistic smile on her face and a small giggle.
" I've got all this body fat that's weighing me down. I mean look at these things and check these thighs out. Now that I think about it, I would look good barbecued, don't you agree ?"
Fenrir asks and all of the Lucifers drool as they picture her roasted body. They got greedy and charged straight at her with the intention to devour her. Soon the Lucifers piled up on Fenrir's body and she released lightning blowing them away. They rained from the sky and returned to their original forms of small dwarf-like creatures with red eyes and sharp teeths. Only one Lucifer remained standing amongst the Pranksters and Fenrir walked up to him.
" Eat me ? That's the best you could come up with? " Lucifer asks.
" It was the best idea I could come up with " Fenrir said with a smile on her face and Lucifer decided to drop the topic. With his eyes closed he turned to the creatures standing before them.
" What are those things anyways? "
" They are called Pranksters, They can mimic not only a person's voice but their appearance. They are also meat eaters so I know they would take the bait and I would find you. I could have found you much sooner if you let me take your virginity " Fenrir said.
" Not happening "
" Come on, it's only for like twenty minutes. You'll eventually lose your virginity so why not give it to me hehehehe "
" This conversation is over "
Lucifer takes off into the trees once again. He was focused on getting to the tree before the sun rises once again.
" Lucifer, can't you slow down ?" Fenrir asked.
" No you should be keeping up with me "
""" I'm trying to keep up """
Lucifer heard multiple voices speaking at once and looked around. There were ten Fenrir behind him moving identical to each other. The Fenrir looked around and wore the same expression on their faces.
" Pranksters ?!" They shouted in union.
Lucifer landed on a tree branch and all the Fenrirs landed on tree branches around him. All of them started to call out saying that they are Fenrir and Lucifer looks at them with his emotionless face.
" Lucifer I'm the original "
" Don't listened to the imposter "
" You pranksters get lost "
Lucifer gets irritated and takes out his guns. He started to shoot the Fenrirs in the head until one was left. The nine that were killed returned to their original forms. Fenrir was surprised to see that he took down the fakes so easily.
" How did you know I was the original? " She asked.
" I didn't, Now let's go "
" What ?! So you shoot without thinking ?! You're one heartless bastard ! What if you had killed me ! "
" Then I'll bury you, simple as that "
"Why you.....!
The sun rose once again and they reached the large tree without any issues. Lucifer looked up at the extremely tall tree and couldn't help but be impressed.
" We have to find an entrance " He said but before he could Fenrir clenched her fist and punched a hole into the tree.
" Found one " She said.
Lucifer walked to the hole and was surprised to see what was before. Inside was hollow and reflected with the starry sky, There was different staircase leading to different doors
- This space must be some alternate dimension created by the Spirit Tree. For some reason it's giving me a labyrinth vibe -
Lucifer thought to himself. The two of them started to walk up the stairs to a door. The moment they walked in they stood in a room that looked like an arena. There was something there waiting for them. A giant burgundy color golem with the word EMETH engraved on itsforehead.
" A golem? "
Lucifer looks up at the 20 ft golem before him.
" Let's take it down "
Fenrir charges at him and swings her claw at the golem chest. Her hand was repelled and Fenrir retreated by jumping away. She looked at the spot where she attacked the golem and was surprised.
" Not even a scratch ! "
The golem raised its fist and punched Fenrir. She managed to dodge it but the floor was cracked due to its destructive power.
" This thing is big and tough and it has destructive power to boot. Lucifer, what are the plans? " Fenrir asked.
Lucifer looked at the golem and the words on its head intrigued him.
- Where have I seen these words before? -
He thought to himself, while Fenrir kept waiting for him to respond. She decided to stop waiting and go on the offensive by charging towards the golem and attacking it. Her feet were clad in lightning as she ran towards the golem and leaped into the air. She kicked it right in the chest pushing it back a step. The golem raised its hand and attacked Fenrir. She leaped back off its chest to dodge it with ease.
" My lightning doesn't have any effect on this thing "
She grit her teeth in frustration.
"That's because metal conducts electricity " Lucifer explains.
" Did you figure out how to stop this thing? " Lucifer nods and Fenrir questions and raised his gun at the golem.
" I don't think your bullets will affect on.... "
Before Fenrir could finish talking Lucifer pulled the trigger and shot the first E of the word on the golem head. The red light in the golem eyes faded and it fell flat on its face.
" You were saying? " Lucifer asks Fenrir.
" How did you.... ?"
" It's simple, EMETH is a Hebrew word that means Truth. Remove the first E and it becomes METH which means death and that what killed it " Lucifer explains.
Fenrir was speechless and decided to laugh it off.
" Hahahahaha I should learn not to underestimate you, Hm? "
A door opened at the other side of the arena. After putting the golem inside his ring Lucifer turned to the door.
" Let's go " He said.
The two of them walked through the door and found themselves on the staircase again.
" We are back where we started ! " Fenrir shouts.
" No, look down there "
Lucifer points at the hole 50 feet below, the one Fenrir punches in the tree earlier and he look at the spiraling flights of stars that are going upwards.
" We are going upperwards so as long as we keep going we'll reach the top in no time "
" Okay "
Both Lucifer and fenrir started on their climb to the top.
