Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 I Give Up

They both immediately activated their respective auras. Finally, I could see the aura of a light element warrior, his aura had a beautiful white color and felt very pleasing to the eye. So I thought what kind of power was in an element as beautiful as this?

Then Adel who seemed to be in high spirits seemed to be affecting her Aura, because right now her aura was even more intense than usual. Then Adel immediately took the big ax that was on her back and ran towards James.

When James saw Adel running towards him, he suddenly raised his right hand. 'Finally, I'm, going to see a light element Warrior Skill' I spoke in my heart. Then James opened his mouth, it seemed he was about to say the name of the Skill he was about to cast.

"I give up!"

Everyone including myself looked at him with confused faces while hearing his voice in each of our ears. Then I looked at my classmates around me, then I asked Rony who was next to me.

"Hey Roony, did I hear right, he said "I give up" just now right?" I asked Rony who was next to me. Roony looked at me and said "Yeah, I think I heard that James gave up too" then we both looked at teacher Ryan to make sure what we heard was true.

Teacher Ryan didn't seem surprised by this and spoke "Since James has given up, the winner of the fifth match in the first round for the class president position is Adel!" He also announced that Adel had won this match.

Adel, who heard the announcement from teacher Ryan, looked at James and spoke to him "Hey! What are you doing? Why did you give up before we fight? what's your excuse huh?" Adel seemed displeased with her easy win.

James who saw Adel angry at him spoke "W-Wait a minute Adel, it's not that I don't want to fight you, but I can't fight you" he told Adel that he couldn't fight her.

Adel, who heard that James couldn't fight her, continued to ask him "Then what's your reason, why can't you fight me? Is it because I'm a girl?" Adel alluded to her gender.

"No, no not about that. It's because I've never fought before and the Skill I've learned is just Healing Skill. So even if I try to fight you I won't be able to do anything. Instead of getting hurt, it's better for me to just give up" James explained that he had never fought before and the skills he learned weren't skills for fighting but for healing.

The light element is one of the special elements that exist in this world. Not everyone can learn Light elemental Foundation Skills because special conditions are required to learn this element. And this element is not an element that is strong in fighting but strong in healing.

So what James said was true, he had no combat experience at all at the moment. Even though his Warrior status is currently a speed-light element type, he can only run away and heal wounds.

Hearing that James really couldn't fight, Adel left him and returned to where we were with an ax in her hand. James also left the field soon after that.

Teacher Ryan then spoke "The first round is over, all of you please rest in the classroom and go to the canteen during lunchtime for lunch. After 1 pm or after break time is over you all will come back to this place. The winner of the first round will continue the next fight and the loser will still have to watch your friends' matches. Do you understand?" Teacher Ryan asked us to rest and have lunch before we come back here later.

"Yes, teacher. We understand!" we all answered the question. "Good, then you can go rest now" then he allowed us to leave this field.

We all went to our classroom to rest while waiting for lunchtime. When we arrived at the classroom, I approached James and asked him, "Hey James, you said you were learning Healing Skills, right? Don't Light Elements have Attack Skills or other Skills?" I wonder why he didn't learn an Attack Skill or else instead chose a Healing Skill for his first Skill.

"Oh, about that. That's because I really don't like fighting, that's why I want to become a Healing Warrior. Not a fighting Warrior like all of you in this class." James told me that he didn't want to fight, so he chose Healing Skill as his first Skill.

"Oh, so apart from fighting warriors there are other types of warriors?" I asked James about the types of Warriors because this was the first time I heard of a Healing Warrior.

"Yes, there are many types of Warriors in this world besides fighting Warriors like you. And as far as I know, we'll learn about that later, right now I also don't know much about other types of Warriors. I became a Healing Warrior because my mother was also a Healing Warrior." James explained to me that he didn't know much about other types of warriors either, but that would be explained when we were in the academy later.

Since I didn't get any more information from him I went back to where Roony, Nanda, and Adel were to chat with them while waiting for lunchtime. Finally, lunchtime arrived, and we all went straight to the canteen to have lunch together.

I had expected that this canteen would become a battlefield as all the students were brought together in one place for lunch in just one hour. It seems my efforts to enter the Genius class were not in vain, because if I were to enter the regular class I would be scrambling to eat like them.

Moreover, those in the first year have to fight over food in the second and third years. Of course, they will lose and it can be seen that there are several injured students there. Fortunately, the Genius-class places to eat and places to eat are distinguished so we don't have to fight over food like them.

The Genius class canteen is also combined with the second and third years. We still have a lot of free space because each year the average number of people entering the Genius class is only 10 people. Even if combined it would only be about 30 people, whereas this place has a capacity for 50 people.

When we took our food, it turned out that the person who served us the food was the same person who was in our cafeteria. I think they'll move places while we're at the school building.

Even though before we fought each other for the position of a class leader. Right now we are still friends like before because what happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch.
