She is shocked by his calm reaction. She was waiting for paladins to enter and seize her but nothing like that seems to be happening.
/"Yes/" she answers in her original female voice. He gets startled and blushes. He hears her soft voice and can’t see how he can get mad at her.
/"So, you know/" she says.

‘Shit, I try to act tough, but I fail’ he thinks to himself.

She notices his frustration and feels bad making him suffer like that.
