When I opened it I was a little let down at how light and empty the box was but I took out the little card that was inside.
/"what's this/" I asked him but he just kept his lips shut.
I turned the card over and read it.
/" you shouldn't be working from that office anymore Selene. You need a real creative space to do that and I want to give this to you as a thankyou for everything you have done for me and our family/" Nick says as I stare at the card.
Under my name was a name of a studio here in the city.
/" how much did you spend on this Nick/" I said completely surprised at his act.
He shook his head. /" you know I don't discuss expenses baby, it's not refundable either so don't even think about doing anything/" he said triumphantly.
I have lawyers I'm sure I can find a loophole somewhere.
/" this is crazy, I told you no big expensive gifts and yet you do this/" I said to him.
