I held her hand softly . I didn't know what I would've done if my sister had died. She was the only family I had left in this world.
Her black hair was packed into a bun thanks to me. She was in a white gown and slept peacefully in the bed. Her eyes haven't opened since she was brought here. Those bastards really messed her up.
I wrapped my hand around hers and placed it on my fore head. /"Why wasn't I there to protect you?/"
Warm tears ran down my cheeks. /"I'm so sorry./"
Vera was my elder sister. It was my responsibility to make sure she was in a good place. Now here she was in a bed, unable to open her eyes.
/"I'm so sorry./" I sobbed, my throat getting parched.
My shoulders bounced in sync with my outbursts. /"I wish I could just make you well again./"
