#Chapter20
Removing the facade
Ian's POV
Meeting at a road side restaurant was a good idea. At least I got to endure Ted's shit while I breathed in fresh air.
We both sat opposite each other on wooden seats. A round table separated us and had two plates of chicken on it. We were seated on the clobbered sidewalk and air as natural and clean as ocean water drifted into my nostrils occasionally.
People trekked past us and went about their various business. On the other side of the road was a tall skyscraper which towered fiercely above the other buildings around it. Cars filled the road and ran on the city's tar, occasionally honking when their drivers deemed it fit.
/"Finally, my bodyguard wishes to see me./" Ted adjusted his dark shades.
He was wearing a white top and rocked a pair of black jeans. The golden watch on his watch showcased what he wanted it to display, affluence.
