/"Wait? How were you with mom before she died? Why were you there, and I wasn’t? Should I be the one there by her side, and not you? Honestly, Sebastian, what is going on?/" Her eyes are filled with tears. I know it’s unfair, but Catie was running out of time, and there was no way Abby could fly to be there for her mother.
/"I received a phone call from your dad that your mom wanted to see me. So I went to the hospital./" Shouldn’t have I agreed to be Catie’s representative before she put me on her will? I don’t have any fucking clue.
I go to my desk and open the drawer where I kept the envelope. Maybe this is the right time that Catie mentioned. I open it in front of Abby.
I look at her, and she’s wiping her tears from her face. God, I want to pull her into my arms and comfort her, but she makes me angry. She accused me of something unfathomable, and I can’t just let it go. She doesn’t even apologize.
