I STOOD at his front door with a thunderous heartbeat. Before I could knock, it swung open as if Clyve was waiting for me behind it. He was looking hotter on his shirt and sweatpants.
/"Hi./"
/"Hi, yourself. Come on in. Is that my food?/" He grabbed the plastic bag from my hand eagerly and smelled it.
/"Yeah./" I went inside like I usually did. I could feel his heated gaze at my back as I walked toward the kitchenette. It made me feel self-conscious despite the undeniable attraction between us.
When I turned around, our gazes locked. He didn’t even try to hide the desire burning in his eyes. I was utterly losing my mind, and I felt helpless at this moment to look away as my heartbeat went wild the longer we stared at each other.
When he looked down at my lips with hooded eyes, I swallowed. We couldn’t do it again.
